Second Wind

As I sit here typing this, Mac is going through his second wind.  Hyper does not even begin to describe what is going on.  I feel so bad for the dogs because he is terrorizing them.  He spent almost 10 minutes driving a car all over Bella (she's so awesome because she just laid there and let him).

We have spent a LOT of time on the toilet today (we accidentally peed once in the toilet today).  We are trying the Skittles method.  If he asks to go potty then he gets a Skittle.  If he pees on the potty he gets a Skittle.  We have yet to poop on the potty so we will deal with that when/if it happens.  Potty training is definitely not super fun (probably because I am not being super intense with it).

Mac was really really good today. He spent some time upstairs playing with his trainset (he REALLY loves trains).  We spent some quality time being lazy on the sofa watching cartoons (I loved this which is probably not the best mommy thing to love but whatev).

Heyward (and Bella) spent a lot of time sleepy today.  Mac kept bothering them.

We finally got one of Mac's new bookshelves (haven't built the other one) up to Mac's bedroom.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it.  

I put a basket on the shelf to hold his board books (they are a little awkwardly shaped to just have the shelf).  I really wish all children's books were the same size and shape.  That would make life way easier!

We are going to build another one just like that one and have a bench going between the two of them.  That way there will be toy storage, book storage, as well as somewhere to sit!
