Many Faces of Nora

When we eat, we give Nora bites of whatever it is we are eating.  She makes the funniest faces when she first gets food in her mouth.  She even makes funny faces with food that she loves.  It cracks us up!  Tonight, Nora had grilled tomatoes, onions, and zucchini.  The best faces came from the tomatoes.  It kept us highly entertained!

Eyeballing the food.

Here comes the food!

In my mouth!

YES!

I'm not sure.

I'm REALLY not sure.

Oh no.

Yeah, I don't like this.

I am thinking about if I like it.

It's just ok.

Ok, this isn't so bad.

Hey!  I like this!  Give me more!

Give me more, seriously.

PUT THAT FOOD IN MY MOUTH.

Fun with my insane family

When I say insane, I am mostly referring to Mac and the occasional Joe.  Mac had a spanking before 8:30 this morning.  He had the meltdown of all meltdowns.  Then we went to Sam's Club and he was better but still crazy.  I am kind of wondering if he is not sleeping very good at night again.

But check out how cute he is in that picture!  Speaking of cute, Mary had the cutest little shoes sent up to Nora from an Easy store.  SOOO cute!

While we were at Sam's, we picked up some pizza slices.  Mac's slice of pizza was bigger than his head.  He ate like 3/4 of it.

After lunch, Nora was acting really tired so I took her upstairs to get her to sleep.  Her eyes were rolling but she kept kicking out.  I thought if I put her in the crib that she would just go to sleep after she played herself out.  I was mistaken.  She played for almost 2 hours.  At one point I looked at the baby monitor and she was standing up.  Standing up.  We are in trouble.  She can also put herself into the sitting position.  I watched her do it numerous times.  While sitting up, she started fussing so I took her another bottle.  That bottle did her in.  She passed out.  She so snuggly when she's sleeping.  It's awesome.

Apparently, a lot of individuals were sleepy.  Joe started snoring.  Mac took a four hour nap.  Even Hayward took a nap.  I was sleepy and probably should have taken a nap but I chose not to.  Looks like I will probably be having an early night again.

After Mac got up, I promised him that I would sit out back with him so he could play in his treehouse.  He likes to be around people.  He had a good time playing.  Nora came out too, but we had to wrap her up in a blanket because it was a little chilly.  Probably around 40 degrees.

"Mac, smile."

"Mac, act like you're happy."

Hayward thinks that he is a lap dog.  He is greatly mistaken.

No make up weekend.  Oh boy.

Hayward thinks that people swinging are trying to play with him so he gets in the way and gets knocked over.

Joe was trying to decide if the swings would hold him and the Chunk.

See?  Hayward thinks Joe/Nora is a toy.

Heart is way happy.

Focusing on the positives

You know what's awesome?  Pain.  Pain is awesome.  (hear that sarcasm?!)  I spent my day at work with my heating pad on.  Yes, I have a heating pad just for work.  I told my students today about my surgery.  They are pretty worried and not super excited about all of this.  Because I work with a very specific population, I have to give them heads up about things because change seriously throws them off.  I hurt so bad today that I am actually called my doctor's office to get some anti-nausea pills so I could take some of my big girl pain meds.  I can't take them without anti-nausea. I really hate throwing up.  In case you can't tell, the meds are kicking in...I am feeling a little wonky.

However, a positive of the day is that my professional observation was posted and I got a LOT of exemplary's!  GO ME!  I have one more observation and my evaluator is coming in next week.  Hopefully, another class behaves as well as the last class that was observed.

OH!  Another positive!  I got the new JCrew catalog in the mail AND a Pottery Barn Kids catalog.  If I was loaded, I would buy out Pottery Barn.  I love the entire look.  I would also buy out J. Crew.  I did some relaxing and read through the catalogs.  That's my happy place!

Oh!  Another positive!  Erica took a funny picture of Mac today.  He has decided to wear a tutu.  A lot.  I am pretty sure that right now Joe is thinking it's funny but at some point he is going to decided enough is enough.  Today, Mac wore a tutu to do some finger painting.

He has also decided that pillow pets are the best things to play with.  For some reason, he has a LOT of pillow pets.  Like an obscene amount of pillow pets.

Ok.  I should probably put this up.  I am not even sure if this blog post makes sense. Whatever!  Have a great weekend!

Cleaning

Many types of cleaning took place when we got home, probably not the level of cleaning that we need to do.  I am playing around with hiring a house cleaner prior to my surgery.  But that's not the cleaning we did.  Chunk and Godzilla got a bath.

This is what happens to the poor little girl when her daddy gets ahold of her hair...

While Godzilla was getting cleaned, I took Nora and we played on the bed.  She likes to move all over the place.  She won't be still long enough for me to get a picture.  She is wearing a 9 month romper and it looks super large on her still!

Then, Mac and I headed to his room because he wanted me to watch him clean.  He gets super distracted when he is cleaning.  Joe and Nora also joined us.  It was a Cash family party in Mac's room.

Nora found a sailer hat......

Then it was time for some mommy relaxing.  Or so this mommy thought.  It is hard to relax when there is a four year old standing in the bathroom next to the bathtub telling you about his big stuffed animals.  And how he wants to snuggle when you are done washing your face.  And asking repeatedly why you are in the bathtub.  And then asking you for a drink.  Completely not relaxing so the bubble bath did not last particularly long.  As I am sitting here typing this, I am in my bed.  Who else is in my bed?  Mac and 5 of his pillow pets.  They are in a circle around him.  I am on the edge of the bed.  I love that kid.
