Nora @ 2 months

I cannot believe that Nora is two months old!!!!!  The time is flying by!

What we know about Nora:

-She is 12 pounds 14 ounces (go on big girl) which is the 95th percentile
-She is 22 inches long which is the 50th percentile
-She thinks it is funny when we mess with her mouth
-She has a natural mohawk
-She acts like she is hungry all the time
-For the most part, she sleeps through the night
-She has 4 rolls on her arms
-She sparkles when she is happy
-She still hates when the car is not moving
-She is a smelly girl and requires lots of baths
-She likes faces
-She coos
-She is a sweaty girl
-She likes to look at lights
-She hates being in her carseat
-She loves her wubbanub
-She has man sized burps
-She likes when we make funny noises
-She likes 80s music
-She makes a lot of noises when she sleeps
-She has slept in her crib from day one
-She loves her brother
-She wears size 1 diapers
-She snorts like a piglet
-She is in 3 month Carters clothes
-She is ticklish under her neck
-She no longer hates bath time
-She is only ticklish on one of her feet
-She likes to grab her clothes and pull them up (I am in trouble)
-She is a happy baby

Amy's going away party

On Tuesday, we all went over to Amy's house for a going away party.  They are leaving on the 8th and all of the families are sad.  Before everyone left, we tried to get a picture of Amy and Erica with the kids....and the babies.....and it was like herding cats.

Random

There has been a bear in our neighborhood lately.  I really really really want to see it just walking down the street.  I love Alaskan wildlife.  Love.  Why am I talking about bears?  The other day we were driving home via O'Malley and that street gets super backed up during the Alaskan "rush hour." What was causing this backup on this particular day?  A mama bear and her cub were treed next to the road.  Welcome to Alaska.

Another random thing?  Our crazy horse sized dog finds random places to sit.  I looked out one day and he was sitting on top of the picnic table just checking out the neighborhood.  He thinks he runs the neighborhood.  Crazy dog.  the other day I looked out and he was sitting in the chair.  That's right.  A 90 pound dog is just sitting in the chair.

A Boy and his Stister

The amount of love between my kids is amazing.  Mac absolutely adores her.  He constantly wants to kiss her or be near her.  He is incredibly gentle with her.  His new favorite thing is to is to help burp Nora....aka pat her butt.  So cute!  And Nora completely knows his voice and will turn her head to look at him.  It is going to be interesting watching their relationship grow.

Navy & Green

I go back to work on August 14th.  Yuck.  Joe and I went by my new classroom the other day and it is a hot mess.  Good news is that we got everything out of my old classroom.  I have been scouring the internet for decorating ideas.  I actually have a room that (once it's cleaned out) is going to be really nice.  That means I have to actually decorate.  My delimma?  Everything online is super elementary school.....I teach high school behavior kids.....that would not fly.  Then I got to thinking about what I like (because lets be honest, I am going to spend more time in there than my students).  I decided that I like preppy.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE navy and green (I mean, even my diaper bag is navy and green).  Thus I am going to decorate my classroom in Navy and Green.

We went to Target yesterday and I hit up their party supply section.  I got navy plastic tablecloths to cover my bulletin boards.  I got some cutesy things to hang from the ceiling.  Probably will need to get more of those.

So.....if you are ever out and you see navy or green adorableness for my class, please snatch it up!  Alaska does not at all have much to offer and I have to get super creative!!!!!

Soccer

This past Thursday was Mac's last soccer practice for this session.  I believe that it starts back up in September.  We still have to bribe him to get him through it but it is still awesome.  We all went to his last practice even though it was raining pretty hard.  Without further ado, I give you his pictures.....
