He's BACK!

Joe went back to work today!  I was a little nervous that Mac was going to be the devil all day.....but he was MUCH better than he has been!  He had a great time eating chicken nuggets and french fries for lunch!

He also had a great time playing outside for all of 5-10 minutes.  That is how long we were outside before Bella discovered the open gate and took off.  I had to put Mac in the crib and chase her down the neighborhood.  Look at how nice the weather looks!!!!!!!

For some weird reason, Mac LOVES getting inside his race car track thing while it is spinning.  However, it does not spin him around because he weighs too much!

Mac took himself a nice little nap and when he got up to play again he decided to chase Bella.  Poor Bella.  She does so well with him and is so super patient.  This is what happens when you put Mac in the chair with Bella....

Cleo House: Exterior color

Yesterday, Joe and I picked up a HGTV magazine (I LOVE that magazine!).  It had a color/paint section in it.  We have discovered the colors we would like to paint the exterior of the Cleo house probably next summer (unless Joe gets excited and decides to do it himself this summer!).  I googled the colors that were in the picture....keep in mind that these pictures do not look exactly like the photograph!

Needlepoint Navy (main part)                 Colonial Yellow (front door)
      Sherwin Williams                                    Sherwin Williams

Cotton white (trim & garage)

This is the picture of the exterior of the house in HGTV that Joe and I liked!

Just another day in.....paradise?

Mac was in a LITTLE bit of a better mood today.  Not a super giant improvement in happy level though. I seriously think it is because of the big ole teeth he is cutting in.  He was super happy eating a breakfast of waffles.....and he was also happy eating a lunch of bananas (no lie he ate 1 and a half bananas).  I got some pretty funny pictures of him.  For some weird reason he likes to put his hands on his head....

I really have no idea why he likes to do that.  He is such a silly boy.  I would REALLY like my happy baby to come back though!  After he ate a crazy amount of bananas, he ran around for a little bit and played.  For some reason, he decided to try to squash himself between the tv and the shelf.....and then he got mad because he got stuck.

After Mac went down for nap number 2 or 3 of the day (he was taking little mini naps), we went to the grocery store.  We got one of those carts for little kids where he was "steering."  He is soooo much better behaved in the grocery store when we put him in those type of grocery carts.  That was probably the happiest he has been all day.  No lie.

We met up with our friends Sarah and Lee at the grocery store.  They came over to hang out at the house for a little bit.  Lee has been working nights lately so we don't get to spend a lot of time with them!

Today, I attempted my first DIY Pinterest "project".  In case yall don't know, Joe and I own an obscene amount of DVDs.  They take up SOOOOOO much space.  We bought cd holders (didn't buy enough off of Amazon so we need to order more) and cd storage baskets from Target.  We have been putting the DVDs in the plastic cd holders and creating tags for them to be placed in ABC order in the baskets. We went from taking up over 7 shelves to probably only taking up 1 shelf!  This makes my organized heart super happy!  Until the rest of the cd holders gets in, we cannot finish our project!

I haven't quite decided what my next Pinterest "project" will be.......thoughts?

On an Alaskan note, it is still gross and rainy.  I would LOVE for the sun to come back out!  My mama gets here on Friday and I would really like for it to be nice up here for her!  We go fishing next week with our landlord on a King Salmon charter....we will see how this works out for me!

Diagnosis is.......ROSEOLA

Mac has been UBER cranky (as in literally screaming for hours on end).  His rash has gotten worse since yesterday.  I had googled it last night and google told me it is roseola.  We called the doctor today and she said she could see us at 3.  Her diagnosis.....ROSEOLA.  I have great googling skills.

RoseolaRoseola is a fairly mild and common viral illness that usually strikes children between 6 months and 3 years of age.  In fact, roseola usually starts with a sudden, relatively high fever, often over 103 degrees Fahrenheit. The fever typically lasts three to five days and may end abruptly, followed by the telltale rash. The rash may last for days or only hours.  The rash is pink and may have small flat spots or raised bumps. These spots may have a lighter "halo" around them and will turn white if you press on them.  If your child has roseola, he may be irritable and tired and have mild diarrhea, a poor appetite, red eyes, swollen eyelids, a runny nose, or a sore throat. The lymph nodes in his neck and at the base of his skull may also be a bit enlarged.

Eagle River Nature Center

HELLO!!!!!  We spent Memorial Day hanging out at the house AND going for a 3 mile-ish hike at the Eagle River Nature Center!  It is a completely GORGEOUS day and we had to get outside.  Joe would like me to load all of the pictures from today....wish me luck that they will all fit.....

Family: if you want any of these pictures in normal size let me know and I will email it to you!  When we left the Nature Center, Joe changed Mac's diaper and left his pants off (he had gotten wet sitting on the river bank).....when you take Mac's diaper off this is what happens.....
