Chena Hot Springs: On the Road Again

Bright and early Wednesday morning, we left the house to make the long drive to Chena Hot Springs.  We had the dogs with us so we had to drop them off at the vet for boarding first (interesting drive).  Chena Hot Springs is located about an hour outside of Fairbanks.  It took us longer to get there than usual because there were a couple of wildfires, we made a couple of stops, and taking pictures.....

Outside of Denali National Park

Overlooking the Nanana River.  It was CRAZY windy.

Man, I love this crazy bambino.

My parents are silly!

The road we were going to drive on to leave the area outside of Denali National Park and head North to Fairbanks.

Bridge in Nanana (the town) over the Tanana River. (I apparently have a thing for bridges)

I am silly.  There is not a lot of traffic once you get North of the Park.  Thus the reason I was able to stand in the middle of the street for a little bit to take pictures.

A wildfire went through here.  We hit a couple of spots where we had to be escorted through because the fires were close.

Wildfire smoke.

Wildfire smoke.

Took this on the way back!  Joe was taking pictures with Mama's phone and he took five bazillion just random pictures (think feet, concrete, sky, etc).  He is silly.

Mac is multitasking.  He can stuff his face and play on my ipad at the same time!

We stopped to eat/shop outside of Denali National Park!
