Chena Hot Springs: Ice Museum

So at the resort there is this giant igloo building (Alaskans do not live in igloos despite what everyone thinks).  This igloo building houses the Ice Museum.  It is kept at a steady temperature of either 20 degrees or 27 degrees (I wasn't really paying super attention during this part).  There are two guys who do the carvings.  They haul in 300 pound ice blocks!

When we got in we had to bundle up in parkas.  They did not have toddler sized parkas so we just bundled Mac into a giant adult parka.  He looked like a burrito.  The place was really cool (ha)!  Mom and I got Appletinis that were served in ice glasses.  They were STOUT.  I couldn't drink mine.  Joe had to drink it for me.

Look Mary!  The Coca-Cola bear!

Look how pretty.  Notice the lack of green.  Straight vodka.  Yuck.

See?  Stout!
