FAMILY: Toddler gone wild

Mac was off the chain today.  He was a hyper crazed baby.  Seriously.  I was exhausted by like 10 this morning.  There was a lot of hyperness and a lot of tantrums.  I even videoed one of his tantrums.  He chased me down with my bras in his hands......there are no words for my little man.

Example 1:  Mac saw my phone and wanted me to take a picture of him.  Then FREAKED out when I started to take his picture.  INSANE.

Example 2:  Words are not needed.

Example 3: He terrorized Bella so bad that she passed out when Mac went down for his nap.

Example 4: Proof of a tantrum.

FAMILY: Conversations with Mac

Mac: No sir.  Don't even think about it.

Mac: Been bad.  Go time out.

(Me dancing to Blurred Lines that was on the Today Show)

Mac: Mommy. Stop. Mackey's turn. HEY HEY HEY HEY (Mac begins baby booty bouncing while singing HEY HEY HEY HEY)

Mac: What you doing Mommy?

Mac: Don't touch.

Mac: Good boy Heyward.  Sit.

Mac: Try it.  You like it.

ALASKA & HOME: A lazy day

Today was a completely lazy day spent at home.  We spent a couple of hours outside this morning playing with Heyward.  Mac took a ginormous nap.  I did a little bit of decorating (surprise surprise).

I decided that the space above the kitchen cabinets was a little too naked for my liking.  What do we have a lot of????  Books.  I have been looking for somewhere to display my milk glass.......TA DA.

In regards to Alaska-y stuff, I spent a little bit watching the teddy bears online.....LOVE IT!

HOUSE: Around the House

I brought back a lot of little pieces of driftwood from Homer.  I love how sticks look (I am pretty sure that I said that exact phrase when I was planning our wedding....).  I scattered them around the house in old wedding reception vases.  I only took a picture though of the fireplace (there is some on the dinner table and the half bath).

Switching gears to the outside....lately, we have had a lot of door-to-door people and it was driving me nuts!  What did I do? Turn to Pinterest.  It gave me the idea to make a sign.  I didn't want one that would be rude.....I am not super super happy with how it turned out.  I think I just need to change the stark white to a softer, more off white white.  Thoughts?  Joe likes it being stark white but I think it clashes.....

HOUSE: New Garage Area

The garage has been finished being painted.  Joe and Mike replaced the gutter and soft fit above the garage.  It just needs to have the above trim painted.  I bought two Black Hills Spruce trees and planted them in the green planters today.  They make me super happy.  Plus, I bought them from a local guy so I feel even better about it!

We got a Garage Hardware Kit from Home Depot for about $20 and installed it on our garage door to give the door a little more character.

As soon as Joe started installing the hardware, I fell in love with it!  It brings such character to our naked garage door.  I can't wait to see the entire house complete!

FAMILY: Playground Time

At some point Mary took Mac to the local playground....they had a great time!

ALASKA: Halibut Fishing (or Lack of)

Joe and Mike went Halibut fishing on Thursday.  They left super early (Mary packed their lunches because she is Supermom).  It was an all day fishing event.  I did get a text from Joe at about 10 in the morning saying that he caught the first fish but that it was just a Cod so they were going to use it as bait.  Later (much later), I received another text from Joe saying that the fishing was bad and that no one had caught anything.  By the time the boat headed to go back to Homer, Joe had caught a Halibut that he kept.  It was tiny.  The guys were disappointed but the weather was awesome as were the views!

ALASKA: Around Homer

On Thursday, the guys went fishing (post to follow later) while Mary, Mac, and I stayed around the campground/Homer.  The day was GORGEOUS and so were the views!
