Joe wasn't super happy with the pantry storage that he originally did so he decided to go buy another pantry kit from Lowes. He moved the storage on the wall down a little to accommodate putting another set in. I just left it all up to him. It worked out great that way!! Now, we have an L-shaped pantry storage section. I think he is still planning on putting some kind of storage on the naked wall. We have talked about putting up spice racks, canned goods holder, or use the leftover kid pieces to rig more shelves. Either way, we have a ridiculous amount of food storage now! This area has not been Jami organized yet. Expect that to happen! Right now we have just thrown stuff up there until I figure out a system I want to use!
Joe also did a lighting update. We had this weird super modern/contemporary light fixture up there. We thought about not keeping it when Joe was painting and so Joe got paint on it. We ended up using Christmas gift cards to buy a new light. It is amazing how much brighter that room is now! Joe started putting it up while Mac went down for his nap. I even helped!
We have even took the plastic off of the floor! I am incredibly five million times more happy about that room. We still have big plans that include building a desk using a filing cabinet......building a murphy bed.....installing curtains.......hiding the pantry........
