Mackeyroni and basketball belly wife!

First off, Mac is one crazy baby! My phone made this funny gif of him:

I don't know why are how my phone did it, but its hilarious! Our Macky bears has been super interested in helping us cook. He tells me to pull his chair over every time he can help. Here is a picture I took of us making pancake batter.

And this is what happens when Mac and I get ahold of a brush:

On a different note, I was at Lowes getting some shelving for our pantry and saw a grill that I want. Hint wife!

Jami was getting ready for work this morning and I said, "Wifey, I can't even tell that your pregnant from the back. Then you turn around and I can see that you have achieved basketball status!" Hahaha, I'm funny.

 Here's a basketball belly picture:

In order to convince Jami that she sleeps in the middle of the bed, I took a picture as evidence:

Crazy hair

My little man has some seriously crazy hair.  It is definitely getting close to that time that he has a haircut.

This week I have Mac's clothes picked so no one has to think in the morning.  That also means that Mac rocked a UGA tshirt yesterday!

Mac had a fun time during his bath time today too!  Expect a more descriptive blog post from Joe to come later.....

Whew.  I am TIRED.  I think we might have to invest in a heating pad for my classroom.  My back has started hurting....

Belly belly screen

We watch a LOT of Bubble Guppies in this family.  The robot in that show has a tv on his belly and he calls that his "belly belly belly screen."  Joe has taken to calling my belly the same thing.....and speaking of my belly.  Here it is at 5 and a half months.....

This was as we were heading out to a baby party.  Since we were going to a baby party at Mac's normal naptime...that means he did not nap today.  He did fall asleep right as we pulled into our neighborhood.

He promptly woke up when we got home.  He wanted to snuggle in and watch tv so I tucked him in my bed where he could watch tv (crossed my fingers that he would nap).  He did not nap.  However, he did stay up there for a while which gave us (and by us I mean Joe) to do some work in the laundry room.  Yesterday, we bought curtains from Lowes and hung those up to give us some privacy.  The window in that room can be seen from the street.....and for some weird reason this room photographs a khaki color (or in this case a green) rather than a grey.

While Mac was relaxing...Joe installed some more storage on the empty pantry side.  We put canned goods in it!

A Day of Running Errands

Today has been a day of running errands.  As I type this, Joe is going back out to do some more running around before we have a baby party to go to.

We went to Walmart.....Mac had a plumber's butt so he completely fit in with the demographics of the people who frequent Walmart.

And then we went to Target to get a baby gift (and of course we got a baby outfit for Nora) and to check out their organizing stuff.  While we were in the baby section, which is incredibly dangerous, I saw this........

Yup....DAWG gear in Alaska!!!!!!!!!

Alaska Heat Wave

So the other day we hit 50.  It was 40 something this morning.  There is grass in my yard.  CRAZY Alaska weather.....

Heyward has been having a great time playing with ice chunks....and playing in the mud.  He was DETERMINED to get a giant ice chunk out of Mac's sandbox.

And I got a video.....

Chef Mac

Mac has been helping cook today and it is so incredibly adorable.  He made waffles this morning....

And he made dinner.....

"I small"

While I am doing this blog post, Joe is at FedEx office getting Mac's birthday invitations printed out.  They are ridiculously adorable all thanks to his amazing Aunt Morgan!!!!!!  It always helps to have a graphic designer in your family!

Mac has a new current fascination with labeling things as big or small.  According to him, I am big.  It makes me giggle.

The weather up here has been absolutely crazy.  We literally hit 50 degrees this afternoon.  However, everything warming up means that it freezes over at night and that makes our driveway a nightmare.  Mac actually fell down in the driveway this morning.  He didn't get hurt but it did freak him out.  It also made him mad because he fell into a slushy ice puddle.  I did get some sweet hugs out of it though.

The weather is seriously so crazy that it was 50 degrees in January in ALASKA and we can see the grass in our yard.  We should not be able to see the grass in our yard at this point.

Mac has decided not to nap at Erica's.  He apparently literally will just lay there in his nap mat and not nap.  That means that he is a bundle of joy when he gets home.  Joe stopped by Petsmart on the way home and took a picture of a sleepy Mac.

He was most definitely awake though when they got home.  When Joe went out to get our dinner (we were lazy), Mac and I got some snuggle time in and play time with my phone!  Looking at pictures of him, it might be time for us to get him another haircut.

This video makes me giggle.....

Sounds

Right now I am sitting on the sofa....about to do some lesson planning......just ate a wonderful dinner (Joe made broccoli beef stir fry)......and now I am listening to Joe and Mac's conversation while Mac is on the potty.  Joe is encouraging Mac to do a number 2 and it is HILARIOUS.  He LOVES his potty book.  We really need to find some more.  I think I might go insane if I read the potty book that much.  I was talking to some friends and they recommended these books:

Potty Palooza
Dinosaur vs. potty
Potty Train
Everyone Poops
Pirate Potty

So if you happen to see any of them...snatch them up!

Meant to do this yesterday

I meant to do this post yesterday but I got tired.

On a health note: I feel better than I was last week but I am just thoroughly exhausted.  I am taking my antibiotics.  We will see how things play out.

Mac likes to snuggle with me when he gets home.  He has newly taken to using my belly as his pillow. It is really sweet.

While we were eating dinner yesterday, our doorbell rang.  Mac responded by yelling "it's my birfday!" Ha.  However, what was at our door made me super happy!  Nora's crib bedding came in!!!!!!

"To the potty"

Yesterday we bought Mac a potty book "Even Firefighters Go To the Potty."  He LOVES it.  I now have the phrase..."to the potty" stuck in my head.  Mac spent some quality time on the big potty this morning.

After talking to mama, we decided to get Mac his own little potty.  We ran to Target (or as Mac calls it the "O" store) and he picked out his potty.

It plays music when he pees.  He filled that joker up!

Switching gears a little....this morning's sunrise was CRAZY beautiful!  The sky was all pink and purple!

On another note.  I have been really sick lately.  I have had the stomach bug, a viral infection, a sinus infection.  Sick.  I went to the doctor on Friday and they ran a test on me.  The results came back today that I am a little dehydrated.  I have a bladder infection.  Oh. And I also have Staph infection.  I got put on antibiotics (starting right now).  If I don't feel better within 24 hours of the medicine then I have to call the doctor back.  Fun times.

House nesting

I had today off from work since it is MLK.  Mac was awesome today so I was able to get a lot done.  I cleaned out the closet and moved that stuff into the new dresser.  I started putting the items that we have for Nora in her closet just to get them out of the way.  I cleared off the vanity and the dresser tops in the guest bedroom.

Yesterday, Joe moved an extra bookcase to the midlevel landing.  Today (while Mac was napping), I relocated books and decorations to it.
