Talkeetna Camping Trip

We busted out the camper for the first time this season.  We were going to head down to Seward but the weather was not supposed to be super nice so we decided to head north to Talkeetna instead.  Our neighbors across the street joined us with their camper.  It was chilly but not that bad.  The sun came out to play for a bit. There was a giant playground near our campsite so the kids had fun.

And now here comes the five bazillion pictures....

Heyward did really well.  What's weird about this 100 pounder of a dog?  He REFUSES to jump into the back of the truck.  As in we seriously have to lift him up to get into the bed of Joe's truck.  

That camping high chair was AWESOME.

A train came flying through our first night there around 10:00 when we were in bed and I thought we were going to get ran over.  Our campground was right next to the tracks.

She destroyed a banana.  And a pancake.

I feel successful.

She hates the flash.  She is also smart enough to know when she hears a ping noise that there is going to be a flash so this stinker closes her eyes.

Let's see if you read through all of this!  Here are random things that we learned on this trip:

1.  We need to invest in air freshener for our camper as both of our kids are pooping machines.

2.  Heyward refuses to jump.

3.  Hayward now poops while on his leash (this is the first time he has ever done that).

4.  Mac snores louder than a grown man who has had too much to drink.

5.  Mac also puts himself in weird positions in his sleep.  

6. Hashbrowns cooked in bacon grease is delicious...I will probably have a heart attack later.

7.  Ready mixed formula is awesomely convenient.

8. I figured out new ways to store stuff in the camper.

9. Nora does not sleep as much on camping trips.

10. Mac is still obsessed with dinosaurs. 

11.  It is super nice to get away from everything.

12. We need to get a paper towel hanger for the camper kitchen.

13.  We need to mount the toilet paper holder. 

14.  We forgot random kitchen stuff.....and by "we" I mean Joe. I had it clearly marked on the list.
