Smorgasboard.

I went to bed super early yesterday so I forgot to do a blog post (well and I kind of blamed it on my computer was dead).  I have been incredibly tired lately.  My body is physically just not happy.  I am actually going to the physical therapist on Monday to see if they can fix my lower back and my left hip.  Pretty sure that Braxton Hicks have made an appearance in my life as well.  This pregnancy is POLAR OPPOSITE from my first pregnancy!

So here are some random pictures for you.

Today was Alaskan Tourist Day for staff spirit week at my school.  Mac wanted to dress up too.

Joe bottled beer.

Here is what our living room looks like from above.  I need to get a rug.

Mac helped with brewing.....

This was some of the sped teacher's dressed up yesterday.  We looked ridiculous.  My students thought I got into a fight.....

Mac was helping.

We have put Nora's crib under one of the windows with the recliner next to it.  I wonder how many times I will rearrange the room?

And now it is time for me to go eat the fried chicken that Joe just made me along with the broccoli mac and cheese.....

Mac decided to raise his voice...

So when Mac was on the potty today he decided to yell at mommy and daddy... That did not work out so well for him. He had to spend some time in his room to think about his actions. When he apologized he decided to be super cuddly with mommy.

After that, it was bath time. Jami took some videos of Mac playing...

RAW

This week is RAW at work.  That stands for Random Acts of Weirdness.  It is completely a staff thing. The students have no idea that this is planned.  Each day we dress up differently.  Monday was workout clothes (I was incredibly comfortable), today was college day (I squeezed myself in a UGA shirt to represent), tomorrow is department day (we are dressing up like garage monkeys, Thursday is tourist day (I have no idea what to wear for that one), and Friday is spring breakish (grass skirts, sunglasses, etc).

Here was me this morning!

My belly got rubbed a lot today.  This picture does not do the basketball justice.  Most people did a double take at me and then started laughing.

A friend of mine at work let me borrow her painting overalls for tomorrow (she is an artist outside of teaching).  She is going to make me look dirty tomorrow morning.  The overalls crack me up!  I am too big to button the top side buttons.....

I will have someone take a picture of me tomorrow when I am in my full garage monkey glory.  I have no idea though what I am going to wear for tourist day.  Suggestions?

On a Mac note, his friend Oliver switched to AK Rush for soccer.  His mom (Aimee) told us about it.  It starts March 17th.  I emailed AK Rush (which is the same group that Erica's kids play soccer through) to get more information.  Think of how cute Mac would be!!!!!  I can't imagine him actually doing but it would get some of that energy out!

Alaska Museum of Science and Nature

On Saturday, we decided to take Mac to a new museum that we had heard about.  I think it has been open for like a year but we just now decided to try it out.  As Mac is currently fascinated with dinosaurs, it seemed like the perfect time!  And BONUS, we had a coupon for it in the Northern Lights Coupon book.

The museum is located on the East side of town, not terribly far from where we used to live.  The building had a giant T-Rex on it....

It is $5 per adult and supposedly $3 for ages 3-12.  I think the guy at the counter either thought Mac was younger (not likely) or he just didn't care (probably more likely).  Mac LOVED looking at all of the dinosaurs. He was able to actually touch the majority of things in the museum.  It was pretty basic.  I wish there had been more dinosaur stuff though.  It was pretty cool looking at things that were alive 85 million years ago.

They even had a little archeological "dig" site for kids to "dig" up dinosaurs.  Mac had a great time playing in it but then was told that if he through the "sand" one more time that we would be leaving.  Needless to say, he threw the "sand" and then we followed through on our threat.  Screaming ensued.

Errands and Shopping

This is going to be a combo post for Saturday and Sunday.  We ran around running errands yesterday and today.  We also took Mac to the Alaska Museum of Science and Nature yesterday (post to follow later).  Mac has been pretty awesome this weekend.  He never fails to crack me up.  So....here is a bunch of pictures and I may or may not include words.

House update

We bought new living room furniture!!!!!  We actually found the sofa and recliner at Fred Meyer (which means we get fuel points on it, BONUS)!  It is a dark brown leather.  The pictures don't really show it off too well because for some reason my lighting was weird....Once we got the furniture in the living room, we had to move around some of the other smaller pieces of furniture.  Our living room is so much more open now!  The next thing to get? A rug.
