Airplane mechanic

So, Mac was playing downstairs today and decided he was going to go upstairs. We let him go up there by himself so he could have some Mac time. After a few minutes he stopped making noise... I went up there to check on him and guess what he was doing? Working on his airplane!

He was really focused on doing a tune up to his plane. Future engineer there! I finally go around to importing a good video of Mac:

The sound of.....

Right now I am listening to the sound of Joe reading Mac a bedtime story.  I got my goodnight kiss.  The big man is being tucked in to bed while wearing his favorite Spongebob pj's.  I think we are probably at the point where we need to think about putting him in a big boy bed.  Dear Lord help us.

I really wanted to get some pictures of Mac while we were sitting on the sofa but he was NOT cooperating (imagine that).  However, he did cooperate when we ate dinner.  Joe made us pizza quesadillas for dinner and they were awesome.

Stuffing our faces.

After dinner, this Cash family headed upstairs so I could fold laundry in our bedroom.  Once that was done, we rotated to Mac's bedroom where Joe and Mac rolled around on the floor.  We then headed back to our bedroom.  Mac wanted to get in the "nap" (aka bed).  He is so stinking cute.  He kept flopping himself backwards and putting his hands behind his head like Joe.  He also liked saying "pillow."

Slumber party!

We had some friends over on Saturday day/night.  They were helping a lot to get the heater fixed!  Anna, Ian, and their son Liam ended up spending the night but Sarah and Lee came over for dinner!  And let me tell you....once the heat was fixed it definitely heated our house back up.....

Our weekend in Instagram pics!

This was an interesting weekend.  Heat went out Friday night (of course it would happen on a COLD weekend)....but Joe and our friends Ian and Lee got it back working Saturday afternoon/eveningish.

Our friends Anna, Ian, and their son Liam spent the night over at the house.  We also had Sarah and Lee over for dinner!

Sunday I put Mac down for a nap and he climbed out of his crib.  This was the scene of the crime when I went in his room to get him....

Mac decided to play in Joe's boots...

We had pizza for dinner and Mac yelled "pitza" the whole time.  Hearing his vocabulary expand is awesome (and scary)!

This morning on the way to work it was -12 (but that might just be the coldest my thermostat goes in my car).  The weather guy this morning said that with windchill it was going to feel between -20 to -35 degrees.

Joe is not feeling good so he is upstairs in bed (tummy troubles) so Mac and I had play time.  We showed him how to show his muscles and no matter what I did I could not get a picture of it!  I did still get some cute pictures!

And the one non-Instagram picture is.....

Stickers!

We got one of those Disney Club packets in the mail.  It had stickers in it and Mac THOROUGHLY enjoyed playing with them.

He thought it was funny to put it on his foot!

I decided that the cute picture with him grinning deserved an Instagram update.  While I was updating it...I discovered that I have no idea what Instagram really is.  I didn't realize that people could "follow" you and "like" your pictures....

We got a box in the mail today from Mary!  THANK YOU!  Mac LOVED his shoes.  As in he kept trying to put them on.  Joe and I assisted him to put on his new boots (he kept saying boots boots boots over and over).  He loves stomping around in his boots.  He is such a boy.

Tonight, we had buffalo chicken casserole for dinner and it was DELISH.  Good ole Pinterest keeping us fed!

cranky cranky cranky

Joe got home today before me again.  However, it was for a good reason.  I went to the gym!  No cardio for this girl.....just weights (I get enough cardio at Zumba!).

I got home to a CRANKY bear.  He only took like a 10 minute nap and he was the devil!  So we did like any awesome parents would do.....we tried to get it on video but were only slightly successful.

For a while, Mac only wanted mommy.  At that point I realized that I really didn't need to do weights for my arms because I was carrying a big boy toddler.....

sleepy sleepy sleepy

It is 6:57 p.m. and I am laying on the sofa exhaustedly trying to write this post.  Today was a LONG day and I am sleepy sleepy sleepy.  Here are some quotes from my day:

"I am special today."

"Cash, you might not be able to read dad's signature because he was inebriated when he signed that."

My work day ended with my TA leaping onto one of my lab tables, screaming.  A mouse ran across my room and one of my autistic kids tried climbing into the chemical hood to find the mouse.  Oh my.

Wednesdays are my long days which mean that I have already left for work when Joe gets Mac up.  So this morning Joe emailed me a picture.  He looks so happy!

Mac was so funny when I got home.  Joe and Mac got home before I did.

House updates

We have been doing some rearranging and stuff.  AKA we got new curtains.  We also moved some stuff on our walls.

An awesome person gave me a Pier 1 gift card for my birthday which resulted in the new curtains in our dining room and our living room....

We have a giant wall over the big window (above).  Joe is going to build me a gallery ledge to go above the curtain rod.  That way I can rotate out the pictures I want to....

Pallet art

We have a lot of pallet boards left over.  Let me tell you I am definitely finding ways for them to be put to use!  I have been seeing a lot of phrases on wooden boards all over Pinterest.  So I thought....why can't we do that but on our pallet boards?  I decided that it would be super sweet to use our engagement date and our wedding date.

I printed numbers and just cut them out.  We taped them to the different pallet boards in the placement we wanted.  We had already bought white spray paint.  Joe took the boards outside and put a light coat over them.  The board with our engagement date turned out better (I think) than the one with our anniversary.

We did not super coat the boards with paint.  When the boards were still somewhat wet, Joe took off the numbers which left the date imprint.

I decided that these boards would look awesome in our bedroom above our curtain rod.  Joe bought picture hanging sets to nail/screw into the back of the boards and up they went!

And yup....those are our new curtains!  The orange was just too much when we moved our furniture!

GOOD MORNING!

Mac is so stinking cute in the morning!

The light blinded him.  He just makes me happy!

We got Mac dressed.  I love putting little man clothes on him.

So a couple of months ago, I discovered Instagram.  It does super cute editing to my cell phone pictures.  This morning I got one of Mac going "cheese"!

This morning, Erica wrote on my facebook about the sloppy kisses she was getting from the happy man!  Sometimes he can be so sweet.  Sometimes.

Apparently, he did not eat a whole lot at Erica's today.  He made up for that when he got home.  He ate almost half a Costco carton of blueberries, a couple of cheesesticks, 4 chicken nuggets......OH MY GOODNESS.

Today was breakfast night in this Cash household.  Biscuits and gravy were consumed and they were amazing!  I have decided that since Tuesday is breakfast night....Thursday is going to be salmon night.  We need to eat more of it which means I need to expand my salmon recipe repetoire.

And again.

So the last post I did worked.  Cross your fingers that this one works as well!

Yesterday, Mac downloaded this kids app on Joe's phone that teachers kids Chinese (yeah, seriously).  Mac LOVED looking through the pictures and saying what they were.  I now know that "mao" means cat in Chinese.  He was hilarious making the donkey noises.  I tried really hard to get it on video....

Last night for dinner, we headed over to our friend's house (Stephen and Stephanie).  They had a little girl in December and their son is 3.  Mac and William had a grand time running amuck.  Mac belly laughed a whole lot!  We had lasagna made with moose and caribou meat.  It was amazingly delicious! When we got in the car to head back home, Mac was asleep within 5 minutes!  This was him when we got him out of the car and into the house....

This morning Mac did not get up until 9:30!  Playing with William wore him out that much!  When I heard him giggling in his room, I go upstairs to find this....

He ate breakfast and was running around.  Since he was occupied, I decided to do some dishes.  I turn around to discover Mac standing behind me with his diaper in his hand!

I think that is the cutest, chunkiest butt ever!  Since he so obviously did not want his pants on, I let him go without for a little bit.  Then I put on his big boy underwear.  That lasted for a big whopping 30 minutes before he peed himself.  Guess the carpets will be getting cleaned tonight!

He is currently in his crib taking a "nap" which is how I am able to do this posting.  He has yet to stop talking up there.  So I guess it is more like alone time for him since he is apparently not going to go to sleep!

On a Jami-note: I have discovered this product that I will eventually own!  It is a Clarisonic Mia sonic cleansing system.  It exfoliates your face but apparently is gentle enough that you could use it every day.  With as dry as it has been up here, this is definitely something that I could use!  Next paycheck here I come!!!!!

On a family-workout note:  Today, I canceled our Alaska Club gym membership (well, gave our 30 day notice).  I just cannot justify the amount that we spend each month even though I absolutely adore the Zumba classes.  I think when the 30 days is up that we are going to switch to Body Renew.  If I don't have a gym/gym class, then I won't work out.  I don't have the discipline to work out at home!  The saga continues....

Again.

So I know ya'll have missed this and hopefully I can get the blog fixed!  What kept me from posting before is that the program I used said that I had reached my picture quota.  The last time it said that I just deleted all of the pictures from the program thing (which led to all of the pictures coming off the blog accidentally).  So when it happened this time I just didn't do anything!  I played around with the program for a little bit and guess what?????  It let me start adding pictures without mean popups yelling at me!  So we are going to try this again!

Joe and I have been doing a LOT of things to the house....maybe today you will get a peak at some of the things???????!!!!!!!

As Mac is still asleep there is no Mac picture yet!  But beware I am about to become a posting fiend!
