boom shocka shocka

Mac likes to say that.  I think the phrase is technically "boom shockalocka" but Mac and I have changed it up.  It is so stinking cute when he says it.  Today I told him that he was so stinking cute and he repeated the phrase back to me.  :)

We went outside this morning for a while and the puppies went nuts playing.  Bella kicked Heyward's butt!  Big time.  This is kind of funny because Heyward is almost triple Bella's weight.  She is small but fiesty.

Got a video of Mac....

At dinner time, we had a four alarm melt down over......a fork.  No joke.  If you look close in this picture you can see a tear....

He got over it.  Joe took Heyward to puppy class today and I gave the big boy a bath.  During his bath, he kept yelling "my weenis".....oh my goodness.

After his bath, Mac and I got some cuddle time on the bed while he watched a movie.  He originally started out in the chair....

Joe is in the process of sanding Mac's bookshelf.  He needs to condition it and hopefully I will be able to stain it tomorrow!

BAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAAAAAA

Me: Mac, what noise does a donkey make?
Mac: Baaaaaaaaaa
Me: No, that's a sheep.  What noise does a donkey make?
Mac: Donkey.

We went to the zoo today.  Mac's favorite animal?  The donkey.  That he thinks makes sounds like a sheep.  He literally baaaaa'ed through the zoo.  It was really cute!  We went with Caryn and Cayla (Caryn has season passes).

This makes me smile.

Teddy bwear (that's what Mac calls them)

I think this is such an awkward picture of him.

Sleepy snow leopard!

Mac was not too sure about this dall sheep...

The Zoo!

My little (big) man is so adorable.  Oh my goodness adorable.  Today, his entire outfit was 4t.  Yup, my  2 year old wears 4t pretty solidly.  Brings a smile to my face.  He is in no way dainty or fragile.  Big ole Georgia (Alaska) boy!

When Joe got home, I had him do a little bit of picture rearranging for me.  I like the new placement MUCH better.  What do you think???

My awesome mother-in-law sent me a package today that had the absolute cutest little milk glass bowl in it.  I LOVE milk glass!!!!!  It got added to the rest of my collection on my fireplace mantel.  It is the short, fat bowl on the far left!

FLASHBACK (well, flashback to yesterday): Mac pulled out Joe's boots and was wearing them.  I have a feeling that when Mac is fully grown that he is going to be wearing shoes much bigger than Joe's 10.5.  Just saying.

Pjelly

Yesterday, Mac got REALLY excited about peanut butter and jelly.  REALLY excited.  As in he jumped up and down for roughly 5-10 minutes yelling "pjelly pjelly pjelly."  I tried to get it on video....

I am in the process of organizing our office (I HATE that room and cannot wait until we have the budget to deal with it).  I created 3 labels for sorting papers and then pulled every scrap of paper out.  We tend to be paper hoarders.  I even found papers upstairs in the guest dresser.  No joke.  I piled all of the papers up on the "sort" label.  When Joe got home, he sorted the papers.  My job is to shred!

At dinner, Mac kept telling Joe to "try it, you like it."  It kept making me giggle because that is what we say to Mac when we want him to eat something.  Nice to know that he is listening to us!

After we put Mac to bed, I was looking at the security camera and realized that I didn't know where Mac was in his bed.  As in I couldn't see his face but I knew he had to have been there.  Joe thought he was asleep on the floor.  Joe went in to check on him and discovered that the reason we couldn't see him was because Mac was under Towmater.  Look at my sweet man!

This morning I went to get him (I could hear him playing and I would have left him but I knew that he had a big peepee diaper).  I walk through the door, he says "hey mommy." Then he promptly turns around and points to his butt while saying "poop."  He was not a liar this time.  The entire time I was changing his diaper he kept wiggling his toes while saying "Macky's toes."  Love that toddler!  I hope he is good today!!!!!!!

Mac daddy

It never fails to make me giggle when I hear Mac refer to Joe as "Mac Daddy."  I giggled as I typed it.  Yesterday, Mac tore up some biscuits and gravy (that was breakfast).  He was shoving adult size bites in his mouth.  Oh my goodness.

As it was Sunday, we had to make our weekly trip to the grocery store.  Mac wanted to help!

When we got back from the store, it was time for Mac to do some coloring!

Unfortunately, Joe had to go back to work this morning.  However, he forgot his work computer so Mac and I took a field trip.

He was showing me his giant feet.

"art"

I spent a little bit of today putting "art" up on the walls and making my art.

Let's start with the fireplace!

I found two pieces of scrap wood from the pile and had Joe use his Kreg Jig to put them together.  I stained them with the stain that we are going to use on Mac's bookshelves.  We found a picture that we liked from a book that my high school's library had given away.  I modpodged that to the board.  Boom.  Art.

We did have a naked wall between the garage door and the laundry room door.  We hung up one of Joe's grandma's paintings.  I found a white plate that I liked.  We hung that above.  To the right, we hung up one of Mac's baby pictures.  Below it, we hung some of my "art."  This time my art was tracing Mac's hand on scrapbook paper and then framed it.  So cute!  On the right side, I hung a phrase that makes me happy.  At this point we ran out of monkey hooks so it looks a little naked.  Underneath the phrase photo, is going to go a family picture.  As I do more things, I will add to that wall!

I Got It

Mac's mantra today: I got it, I got it, I got it.  We heard that a LOT today!

This morning Heyward took Mac's ball and Mac tried to give Heyward something else so he could get his ball back.  It did not work out for him too well...

We went to Costco this morning and we found these "mason jar" lookalikes that are PERFECT for our smoothies!

Check out Mac's MONSTER feet!

Here is a conversation that took place between Mac and myself.

Me: Mac, are you eating grass?
Mac: No, mommy.
Me: Are you lying?
Mac: Okay.

Here is an event that took place....

Mac ran over to a pile of poop that we missed when picking up the yard.  He looked at me and said "poop" and then promptly proceeding to stomp his foot in it.  No joke.  Dear goodness.

At one point we were playing outside, Mac kept singing "twinkle twinkle little star."  I tried to get it on video but I don't know how successful that I was.

We decided to get Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and because Mac refused to take a nap today, he passed out on the way there.  He is so cute when he is sleeping!

Apparently that nap rejuvenated Mac because after dinner he was ready to go play!

Remote Tray

We lose our remote controls for the tv ALL THE TIME.  I decided to fix this (I have been feeling super crafty lately).

What I Got:
Cheapo wooden tray from Michaels (Seriously like $4.99)
Spicy Mustard paint from Michaels
Modpodge
Foam brush
Page torn out from a book I got from a discarded library book
Furniture pads
Hot glue gun

I painted the entire cheapo tray with the Spicy mustard paint.  I gave it a couple of coats of paint.  We cut the piece of paper down to size and I modpodged that in the bottom of the tray.  I did a couple of coats of Modpodge over the entire tray to give it a smoother feel.

I used my hot glue gun to attach furniture pads on the bottom of the tray so it wouldn't scuff up my coffee table (why I am not sure because Mac has beaten the table up).....
