Driving to work sucked. I couldn't see anything so I just looked at the front end of my car. However, when I got to work they had less snow on that side of town than the Southside where we live. The drive home was a different story. I couldn't see ANYTHING at all. I questioned where the road was on the entire way home. I pulled into my neighborhood and then questioned where my driveway was. Roads were awful. Positive was that when Joe and Mac got home.....we went to play in it.

Blizzard
The snow started yesterday (Sunday) and is currently still going. We were originally supposed to get 12-18 inches but I do believe we are going to go over that. We already have over 12 inches and it is still coming down. The snow is supposed to continue through the night. This is going to be interesting.

Curled up, hair cuts, business attire
I spent the majority of Sunday curled up on the sofa. Yup. Still didn't feel good. Mac did a lot of cuddling....
Mac also got a haircut. He was growing a mullet and we are not ok with mullets.

When we got the big man up, we decided that he should wear his business attire to Erica's.....

Snow fell steadily all day on Sunday but I was still surprised when we got up this morning....

Curled up
I have spent almost the entire day curled up in the corner of the sofa. Still super sore and swollen. I didn't sleep very well last night and the medicine made me sick last night so just really tired today.
We did go out to Lowes, Home Depot, and Sherwin Williams. We got the wood stain for Mac's bedroom furniture. The first coat is going to be Minwax's American Walnut with a Minwax white wash coat over that. I am excited to see how this turns out. We are going to test it on the crates first. I was also able to look at the colors that I have picked for the exterior of the house. I am BEYOND excited to get our giant Easter egg house painted.
Mac was in an AWESOME mood today! He has been in a good mood for a while. He did a lot of talking (and I couldn't understand any of it....he speaks another language) and a lot of laughing and a lot of jumping/playing. I think he knows that I am not super feeling good because at one point he brought his "piwwow" (pillow in non-toddler language) over to me and laid down next to me....such a sweet little man.
We watched Cars a ridiculous amount today....so I was kind of glad that this was the view I had....
My awesome husband cooked us dinner (we had skyline chili and yes we eat this a lot)....and when we ate dinner he got a LOT of giggles out of Mac.

Doctor's Appointment: The Results (kinda)
DISCLAIMER: AS OF SATURDAY MORNING, I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM MY DOCTOR SO THIS IS NOT 100% YET. TRYING NOT TO GET EXCITED.
Today was the day that we got the official word on being able to have more babies. I had to take a half day at work so I could go over to the hospital to have a test ran called
Hysterosalpingography (HIS-tur-oh-sal-ping-GOGH-ru-fee): This is an X-ray of the uterus and Fallopian tubes. Doctors inject a special dye into the uterus through the vagina. This dye shows up in the X-ray. Doctors can then watch to see if the dye moves freely through the uterus and Fallopian tubes. This can help them find physical blocks that may be causing infertility. Blocks in the system can keep the egg from moving from the Fallopian tube to the uterus. A block could also keep the sperm from reaching the egg.
Unfortunately, Joe was not able to go to the hospital with me. I checked in at 10:30 and pretty much immediately got called in the back for the test. I walked in to this room that had all of these machines set up....the lights were on dimmer....overwhelmed does not even begin to describe how I felt. What do I do when I feel overwhelmed? I cry. The nurse and the nurse practitioner explained the "awesome" process to me. It definitely sounded kind of scary.
Once they started the dye, there was a little bit of a problem. They should have filled my uterus and then expanded to my token Fallopian Tube. At the beginning of my testing, the dye filled my uterus but rather than going into my left Fallopian Tube, it started going into the veins. This is not apparently a good thing. They had me rolling from one side to the other (SUPER AWKWARD). They left me on the scanning table and went to get the radiologist. They didn't want to push any more dye into me if it was just going to spill into my veins. They were gone for a little bit and I was SUPER uncomfortable while I was waiting. Just hanging out....me and my catheter. By the time they got back and started pushing more dye, apparently whatever the blockage was in my Fallopian Tube had gone out. The dye
was able to go through the left Fallopian Tube. I cried again. (It's what I do).
I still have to hear from Dr. Hinkle for the official results.

On my way home I had to stop at Walgreens. I ended up getting the epitome of female stuff. Pads. Chocolate. Romance novel. It made me giggle. Something needed to make me giggle because I kept randomly crying. I HATE crying.

A little game called where's the anti-biotics?
So for me to have testing on Friday I have to be on anti-biotics for 2 days. We played the game today of "where did they send my anti-biotics?" They were supposed to send it to the Walgreens right by our house....but they didn't. After Joe made a few phone calls, we figured out that it was sent to the Target on the complete opposite side of town. Good times.
Mac has CRAZY hair. I wonder where he got this from????
I got some good snuggles with my man today.
This was my view for a little bit. Mac let me use him as a pillow!
Joe taught Mac to jump on the sofa. Awesome. (WHOOOOO HOOO the video loaded))

Doctor's appointment: Round 1
Today, was a LONG and semi-nerve wracking day. I had a doctor's appointment at 2. This appointment was kind of important because we were going to begin the process of finding out if my left fallopian tube is viable for us to have more babies.
Here is my post from April of 2012 when we found out that my tumor had come back.....
I have been having crampy pain for about a week and then on Wednesday night the pain got super intense. In hindsight I probably should have just gone to the hospital then but I did not. I called the doctor the next day and they sent me in for an ultrasound/sonogram thing. That test did not go the way I thought/hoped it would. They found another growth immediately. At first I was making jokes about my stupid right ovary but then it hit me what could possibly be happening to me again. Since I was crying in the waiting room, the awesome people at Advanced Sonograms let me sit in one of their offices and play on the internet. The technician came in to check on me and saw that I was looking at shoes on Nordstrom's website. He asked me if shopping was making me feel better and I said no. (yes, hell has frozen over when I was not interested in shoes or shopping). I finally got the news that my doctor wanted me to come over to his office. Joe met me there. What Dr. Hinkle wanted me to do is just wait for a little bit to see if the tumor goes away on it's own. If the pain does not lesson or if it gets worse over the next week, we will consider surgery. If (when I go in for the follow up sonogram in roughly 6 weeks) the tumor is not smaller at that appointment then we will consider surgery. Dr. Hinkle said that if he has to go in to surgically remove the tumor then at that time he will probably just remove my right ovary because of how many problems I have had with it. Apparently, my stupid right ovary is overactive. STUPID RIGHT OVARY.
Here is the post from my post-op appointment May 2012 when we were originally told that I couldn't have anymore babies.....
Good news: My surgery went well and I am healing well. My doctor got all of my scar tissue out....
Bad news: There is a lot of damage to my left fallopian tube and it is twisted. My doctor told me today that I probably will not be able to get pregnant again due to the amount of damage. He does not want us trying to get pregnant for at least 6 months. He said that when we decide we want to try to get pregnant that I will need to have some test done to see if my fallopian tube is open or closed. If it is open, then we can attempt to get pregnant (but as soon as I get pregnant we have to go in for testing to make sure it is not a tubal pregnancy). If it is closed, then getting pregnant naturally is not an option. If it is closed, we might have to consider IVF. If we have to do IVF, then I would have to have surgery again to remove my left fallopian tube in order to have the fertilized egg planted in my uterus.
Let me tell you. I NEVER thought I would be in this position. I have cried a lot. I am pretty sure that I am in shock. I NEVER thought that I would be a 27 year old who has already had 2 tumors and her ovary/fallopian tube removed AND will probably not be able to get pregnant again. It is overwhelming. My dad told me to focus on getting healthy and to think about the positives in my life. I am trying REALLY hard to focus on the positives but honestly that is really difficult at this point. Maybe tomorrow will be better!
So needless to say...I was a little nervous about today's appointment. We did the normal stuff. I got weighed (I fully believe that the scale is totally wrong). We did the yearly appointment fun stuff. So then came the discussion of what we are going to be able to do. Dr. Hinkle pulled up my surgical notes (and pictures which were totally gross). He squished my ovary (yes the token one I have left) and my uterus. Dr. Hinkle can be a little more negative so when he said that he thinks my left fallopian tube should be ok, I tend to believe him. I still don't want to get my hopes up but it is more than what I had before.....
I will get the official word on Friday. I have to go in for a Hysterosalpingography at 10:40 on Friday. I have to go into Radiology for this test. If you get excited you can Google it. It is probably going to be a little uncomfortable......
STAY TUNED ON FRIDAY FOR THE VERDICT!!!!!!!!!!!!

boogers.
Mac is a booger boy. He has a little bit of a cold and we are seeing a LOT of boogers. He is still in an awesome mood. I got some good snuggles in with my man when he got home.
Mac's first Citrus Lane box came in the mail today and it was SUPER cute! There was a lavender scented mini pillow pet, to go squishy fruit thing, a puzzle, and animal tattoos. Mac LOVED the puzzle and we laid him down for bed tonight with his new pillow. It must have worked calming him down because he went to sleep pretty quickly!
I was laying on the sofa for a while today so Joe got Mac upstairs watching Cars 2. When Joe ran out to grab Subway for dinner, I went upstairs to check on the big man. He was no longer in the bed. He had pulled 3 loads of laundry out of the chair and threw it on the floor so he could sit in the chair. Silly boy.
Eventually he decided it was bathtime. Joe gave him a bath because that is their bonding time. I go in at one point because I hear giggling. Joe decided to show me how to irritate Mac....he REALLY DOES NOT LIKE THE SHOWER.
Ok. For some weird reason....our blog is not letting us load videos. AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
