DaaaaaaHHHHHHHH

Haha.  That is how Mac says he is "done" when he finishes eating (and apparently when he is "done" in the bath tub).  It cracks me up.  This morning Joe and Mac curled on the sofa together and I thought it was the cutest thing EVER!

We got a lot done around the house.  We started clearing more of the garage out.  We are now down to the last probably 15ish boxes.  I am so ready for the garage to be cleared out and organized.  I am ready for all of the boxes and trash to be gone.  GONE.

On a positive note, I actually made the guest bedroom bed!  It now matches the walls (pictures to come later).  Next on my "nesting" list (besides clearing out the garage) is to start putting pictures on the walls.  I have been researching the best ways to hang pictures without doing too much damage to the walls.....so far the Monkey Hanger things seem to have the best reviews.  We will see what Joe wants to do.

We were out running some errands this afternoon (Nordstrom and Michaels).  Mac wanted a sip of my bottled water and then he took my bottled water.  He LOVES to drink out of water bottles.  He usually crumbles them up and gets it all over him but this bottle required him to suck the water out rather than pour it out!

I have a conundrum....I have five million belts and right now they are in a jumbled mess in our closet floor.  I have no idea the best way to organize them.....I have checked out google and Pinterest but so far nothing that I really liked or wanted to do.  AAAHHHHHHH

On another positive, I was able to work out today!  SCORE!  I did 30 minutes on the elliptical....I was going super speed!  Then I did about 15 minutes of ab work....gotta lose that Mac belly somehow!  On my way out I noticed a table set up at the front of the gym.  They were doing free fitness tests and you just needed to sign up.  So I did.  I am a little excited about this.

Into EVERYTHING

Mac likes to get into things.  He likes to get into the dining room server (which I have turned into the toy storage downstairs)....he loves to pull dirty clothes out of the hamper.....he loves to pull books off of shelves.....he likes to open drawers.....he likes to get into Bella's dog food.....

Mac had a snack time today of rice chex (yup he loves those!) and he is such a sweetie that he decided to "share" his snack with Bella.

Mac decided to play in his toy box.  He is silly.

Joe got home around 4ish.  We went to the grocery store (Mac pushed the cart through the entire store) and then on to Subway to pick up dinner.

After we put Mac down to sleep, Joe started cutting up the salmon and vacuum sealing it.  Joe is going to do a blog post later to describe the fishing and all that is involved......

Zip-line videos!

I finally figured out how to get videos from my Iphone to my computer....(yes it took a while)!

Like I told you a few posts ago, we went ziplining in Talkeetna when my in-laws were up here.  I was a little scared of doing this because I hate heights but this is a really cool thing to do!  The company we did it through was Denali Zip Tours.  They are awesome!  Here is a video of my father-in-law Mike zip-lining.  These videos are off of the last line and was my absolute favorite line!

This next video is of me!  Because I am a little.....little.....I had to cannonball across the lake so I could actually go all the way without having to pull myself to the other end.  I BARELY made it!  Like I said before, this was my most favorite out of the ziplines because we were going over a lake and it is just beautiful!

rain, house plotting, and fishing

It has been raining like CRAZY here and poof the wind has started up!  Look at this pretty green picture the weather service up here posted....

Joe is down in the Kenai doing some dipnetting.  I decided against going because of the weather and how difficult it would be (that will make sense to you in the pictures later).....I have been looking up fishing reports and announcements since they left to go fishing.  Usually the Kenai is only open for dipnetting from 6 am until 11 pm, but due to the LARGE amounts of red salmon coming through they have opened it up for 24 hour fishing.  Apparently though you catch the most fish in the hours before the tide comes in and the hours directly after.

Apparently, when they got down to the Kenai last night they started fishing but it was too early so they took a short nap....and slept through the tide!  At the last time I had talked to Joe he only had 2 reds (there is a 45 fish limit for our household).  I am hoping that this go around of fishing the tide bears better results for him.  He has texted me some pictures of how many people are around and how it looks.  The beaches are PACKED of people fishing.  Hopefully when Joe gets back tomorrow, I will be able to get him to post about his experience.....

 Our crazy friend Kris Homerding!

On a home front note....Mac's food of choice today was strawberries.  He literally ate an entire thing of strawberries today alone.  Here is a conversation that occurred between me and Mac....

Me: Mac, did you doodoo?
Mac: No
Me: Are you sure?
Mac: Yeah
Me: Did you fart?
Mac:  Dada
Me: Dada is not here for you to blame it on.
(checked his diaper)
Me: (gagging) MAC!  You lied!  You doodooed!
Mac: Yeah

While Mac was taking his nap, I started plotting where and what I was going to hang on the walls!  I am super excited to see our pictures around us!  I have to find a couple of other boxes of pictures though.....I did have an idea for the wall behind our dining room table and the wall as you come through the front hall/door area.....to be continued!

Hot n Cold

So I thought yesterday was a long day.....Today was even longer.  Mac only napped for 30 minutes.  If my days had a theme song, today's theme song would be "Hot n Cold" by Katy Perry.  If we went outside, Mac wanted to come inside.  If we were inside, he wanted to go outside.  If he was on the ground, he wanted me to pick him up.  If I was holding him, he wanted to get down.  The only thing he wanted to eat today was Rice Chex and bananas.

This morning I got a little bit accomplished.  I stripped the guest bed because I am about to put different bedding on it and I cleaned up/organized Mac's room a little bit (not that you can tell by looking at it now).  While I was doing these things, Mac was accomplishing some stuff of his own....like sending "emails".....and taking clothes out of my closet (the picture I have of this is just the beginning of it not the entire amount he pulled down).....

When Mac woke up from his "nap" we attempted to go outside for a little bit but the sun was honestly too much for the both of us.  The air temperature up here is in the 70s but the sun is so close to us that our thermometer actually read in the 90s!  When we came inside, I put on the movie Cars in the hopes that Mac would just veg out.  He did.  For 15 minutes.

A little bit later, we decided to brave the sun.  I had already put more water in the sandbox so Mac could splash.  However, it had not warmed up very much and Mac was not super excited about the coldness!  He kept getting in it though!  We did not last as long outside today as we have done on other days.  Just too hot.

LONG day!

Today has been a long day....albeit an awesome day....but long.  Mac was in a funky mood today for the majority of the day!  He spent a while watching Sesame Street and Sid the Science Kid this morning.  I put him down for a nap at 11 because he was rubbing his eyes and he proceeded to yell for 30 minutes but he only slept for like 40 minutes (if that)....

While he was "napping" I got an awesome package at the door.  Mary had sent up a bag for me (awesome for groceries and the market) and snickers!  She also sent pictures and 2 awesome tshirts for Mac!

After his nap and lunch, Mac and I headed outside to the gorgeous weather to play!  It didn't feel as hot as it felt yesterday.....and Caryn and Cayla came over!  I filled the boat part of the playset up with water for the babies to play with....before Cayla/Caryn got here Mac sat in the water in his regular clothes and his regular diaper.  Caryn had to help me strip him and put him in his swimmie diaper.  His butt is too wide for his swimmie diaper (Caryn said it looked like a sumo wrestler)....and his little buttcheek kept hanging out and he kept getting a wedgie....poor little man.

Yup he got in the water with his normal diaper on....he cracks me up!

He looks so proud of himself.....

 He poured water on himself....funny

 He cannot waste any Cheerio

So the Channel 2, Ktuu put another crazy picture up on Facebook and I figured I would share....it makes me giggle....
