"I POOPED"

Mac just yelled "I pooped!" from the potty.  AND HE WAS NOT LYING.  He totally pooped on the toilet!  SUCCESS!

Sorry I have not done a good job at keeping up the blog this week.  Super busy.  So here is a recap.  Mac wore his Easter outfit to Erica's on Monday........it makes me giggle.

Mac decided to wear his Hawaiian shirt to Erica's on Wednesday.  He is silly.  We had a doctor's appointment.  It has been decided that I am going on leave from work starting Monday.  My doctor sounds a little worried that I might go pre-term.  Nora is already head down.  She sounds good.  My belly is measuring good.  I had to get a shot.  Was not excited about it.

As we were leaving the hospital (where my doctor is located), there was a moose!  People were just walking past it....

Our new stroller got delivered yesterday!  We were pretty excited!  It is a Phil & Ted Navigator stroller with the double kit on it.  This thing can go in 26 different positions.  It can be a single stroller, double stroller, jogging stroller....So many options!  Right now we have it set to be like a bassinet with the double kit on top.  Nora will lay in the bassinet part where we can see her and Mac will be in the front. Joe is wanting to order the carseat attachment that enables our Chicco carseat to work with it.  The tires are like bicycle tires.  It is pretty awesome!

Last night, Joe had batting practice with his softball team so I stayed home, put Mac to bed, and cleaned the kitchen.  I also busted out my new Crocs (Thanks Mary!).  They are not the most fashion forward shoes but I absolutely adore my Crocs and I killed my old pair.  My new ones are hot pink.  It made me giggle to look down (granted I had to lean way over) to see my hot pink shoes.....

Today I was crazy busy at work trying to get everything taken care of and set up for the remainder of the school year.  I got the entire rest of the year planned out, copies made, kids nagged, and trying to wrap up some lingering sped paperwork (my life is devoted to paperwork as a sped teacher).  Once I got home, we immediately back over to the hospital for our ultrasound appointment.

Nora was not super cooperative.  She pretty much refused to roll over.  She is still head down and I think she is going to be staying that way.  The first thing the tech said was that she has a lot of hair.  Then that she has chubby cheeks.  She spent almost the entire appointment with her right thumb in her mouth.  Getting a glimpse of her face was super super difficult.  The one kinda clear picture we got she looks like she is grumpy mad and her hand is covering part of her face.....

She is currently 5 pounds and 2 ounces.  She is measuring for a May 22nd due date (my official due date is not going to change though).  She has super long fingers....right now her middle finger is measuring 1 inch long.  She is in the 59th percentile for size.  The tech thinks that if I go the full 40 weeks that she might be around 7 and a half pounds.  Everything organ wise looks great on her.  Brain.  Heart. Kidneys.  Bladder.

Alright.  Joe just took Mac to soccer.  It is time for me to make a grocery list for the Huggies and Chuggies party this weekend.........

Sunday Funday

Apparently Sunday is seriously the day that we get stuff done.  We were busy busy busy today.

I folded some of Nora's new clothes while Mac/Joe played.....

While we were out running errands in Target, Mac found a puffer fish in the dollar section.  No lie the best $1 we have probably ever spent.  Mac decided right afterwards that the puffer fish needed to take a nap which meant we all had to be quiet.  He was quiet our entire time inside Target.  We were in there for like 40 minutes.  40 minutes of blissful silence.  He was so incredibly cute.  Whenever Joe and I would giggle about it, he would glare at us and say "Puffer fish sleeping.  Sh. Not funny."  He also wanted a picture of Puffer Fish sleeping in my purse.

While Mac was napping, Joe and I got A LOT done.  (the list will follow later).  Joe hung up the new wall organizer that we bought from Target yesterday.  (Seriously, I cannot get enough of Target....no need to buy me gifts anymore, just buy me Target gift cards).  We hung it up on the same wall that our front door opens to.  The pictures make it look small but it is just under 2 feet wide.  Perfect to hang our bags/jackets.  We are eventually going to build a bench to put in our front area as well.  Eventually.

Once Mac got up, we (and by "we" I mean "me") decided to hang art up in Mac's room. We have had these two cork boards for a while that I have been meaning to hang in there.  Today was the day.  We hung them up.  Mac picked out his art that he wanted to put on there.  And now he is happy!

While all of this is going on poor Heyward is having to stay outside.  He smells TERRIBLE because we are in the middle of breakup.  There is honestly no point in giving him a bath right now because he will just go back outside and get stinky again.  Hopefully, the rest of the week is as nice as today was (upper 40s) because then the snow will melt faster and hopefully the grass will harden up.  Right now our backyard is a snowy swamp.  GROSS.

After our delicious dinner of grilled salmon, pesto roasted potatoes, and peach cobbler....it was time for the big man to get a bath.  We picked up bathtub stickers while we were at Target and Mac was super ready to play with them.  He put his road together and had a great time.  I couldn't help but just grin at him because he has the cutest chunky butt!

And I couldn't help but get a video of that cute butt dancing......

The master list of things we accomplished today:

-grocery shopped for the week
-made chicken salad for my lunch for the week
-made Mac sneaky sneaky veggie mac and cheese
-made sneaky sneaky veggie banana nut muffins
-made homemade apple sauce
-made pesto roasted potatoes
-made peach cobbler
-marinated salmon....Joe grilled it
-hung wall organizer
-hung mac wall art
-started organizing Nora's closet a little better
-Joe sanded the "jelly"
-Joe conditioned the "jelly"
-Joe is in the process of staining the "jelly" top
-Mac got a bath (yeah, this does not happen every day)
-picked Mac's clothes out for the week
-cleared out Mac's pjs that don't fit anymore
-hung up Mac's clean clothes
-cleaned laundry
-folded laundry
-still need to hang laundry
-created a key for a vocabulary assignment my students are going to do with the new book

Whew.  I am exhausted.  I still need to hang that laundry.  Yeah, it might just get stacked up somewhere and I do it later.  Also still need to get lunches ready for tomorrow.  I also need to blow dry my hair (so much trouble).  Just thinking of those things is making me even more tired.

Mustaches and Soccer

This morning Mac decided to pick out his own shirt.  He chose his mustache sweater.  Folks....we are no longer in toddler land.  That sweater is an Old Navy size XS.  True story.

Last day of testing!  Thank goodness.  I was in a room with 2 9th grade boys for 2 days.  Not much fun.  I did get a lot done though while they were testing. I got my "thank you" cards written and some lesson planning done.

While I was at work, I got an email from Olga telling me that Annamaria wanted to take this specific book so that they (Mac and her) could talk about it.  :)

Erica also posted some pictures of the kids outside at recess.  Mac is in the bright blue coat.

Today I had to head back to Prov.  This time I was not having contractions.  This time it is because I needed a chest xray.  I still haven't shaken this cold and it has relocated to my chest.  I sound like a man when I talk.  Not attractive. My doctor had me go in for chest xrays and then I get to go back tomorrow to meet with the doctor to find out what is going on.  Breathing is a little difficult.  I seriously cannot catch a break.

As today is Thursday, Mac had soccer practice.  I think the coach might be losing his patience a little bit because they were not listening at all.  None.  So he bribed them with patches at the end of practice.  Joe said that Mac did a better job today of listening but it literally took me, Joe, and the coach.  I got a really cute video that makes Mac look like he is a soccer champ.  It's a lie.

And this picture is the epitome of my walrus state.  Good gracious.

Art & Pillow cases

As stated in the previous blog post, Mac got a new pillow case.  He LOVES it.  He is currently passed out (and probably drooling) on it.

And another happy thing today was that our framed Alaska map was finished.  Joe immediately went and picked it up!  As soon as Lisa finishes editing our family pictures, they are also going to get added to the map wall. Joe did a good job picking out the frame!

My Work Baby Shower!

The move to Dimond has been a little difficult.  At first.  I have slowly found my niche of people.  I am a sad though because one of my really good friends (Kim) at Dimond is leaving next weekend.  Her husband is military and they are being relocated.  I am going to miss her like crazy.

Kim, Liz, and Kristen decided to throw a baby shower for me.  The ladies of Dimond like to have parties and were pretty excited to have an excuse to have a party....aka Baby Nora.  I thought it was super sweet.  I mean I am new to the building, am a sped teacher (that usually means we are a little more isolated).....and they still cared enough to throw a baby shower.  I mean....even the president of the PTA came!  Oh and two of my administrators came.  It makes my heart happy.  There were sooo many people there!  I didn't realize that I work with such talented people (there were numerous handmade blankets and even a handmade book).  Mac even got a couple of presents (his current favorite is the handmade pillow case)!

(these are cell phone pictures that some of the ladies there have sent me)

Here is the list of goodies (big list):

Once I got home, Mac got beyond excited when he saw all of the bags coming out of my car so of course he wanted to open the "birthday" presents.  Joe hauled them upstairs and then proceeded to open through each one individually.  Mac got really excited about his new pillowcase cover.  Like grabbed his pillow off of his bed and we switched it out....excited.

Here are two of the handmade things that a very gifted coworker of mine made....

Nora's Nursery Update

A couple of weeks ago I contacted a friend of mine from high school (we took dance together).  She has a shop on Etsy that has baby stuff.  I was curious if she had ever made rail guards and she said not yet but she had been thinking of making them because her own baby was chewing on his crib.  She agreed to make a rail guard for Nora's nursery.  YAY!  It made me happy that Nora was going to have something else in her room that has been hand done by someone.  I guess you might be wondering why I am mentioning this........cause it came in the mail today!!!!!

It is super soft and has a little bit of padding to it.  It ties on to the top of the crib.  I love handmade things!

I am pretty excited about what tomorrow is possibly going to bring because my work is throwing me a baby shower!!!!!!
