Birthday Bonanza

This weekend's birthday bonanza is now officially over.  We had one yesterday and one today.  Not going to lie but we have another birthday party next weekend.  WHEW.

Yesterday after all of the snow, we decided to brave the roads and head to the store.  We went to Sports Authority to get Joe some heavy duty gloves but for some reason came out with a shotgun.  The roads weren't really that bad but there was a LOT of snow on our side of town.....

After Sports Authority we needed to head to Sam's which is in the same shopping center.  My husband let Mac "drive."  Mac thought it was awesome.

Right now as I type this, I am laying in the bed next to a Mount Vesuvius of laundry.  I probably need to drag myself up to fold it and hang it up.  ARGH.  Don't feel like it.

On a baby note, I found a MamaRoo on Craigslist for WAY cheap.  Those things are like $250 brand new and we got our's for $120!  It is in brand new condition!  Joe is pretty stoked about this too because there are so many options.  A MamaRoo is a baby soother bouncy rocker swing thing.  It is really kind of hard to explain.  Just take my word for it that it is awesome.

Man I don't want to have to work tomorrow.........

Chuck E Cheese & a Blizzard

As previously stated, yesterday was the start of birthday party bonanza weekend.  We headed to Chuck E Cheese last night for Cayla's birthday.  They ate a lot of pizza, ran amuck, ate some more pizza, ran amuck some more.........

When we got to Chuck E Cheese, it was 41 degrees.  While we were in Chuck E Cheese, the blizzard started and it was 21 degrees when we left!  It was literally white out conditions on the way home.  Crazy!

When we got home, the weatherman was calling for 3-6 inches.  In a span of 3 hours, we definitely had more than that!

When we got up this morning, we DEFINITELY had more than 3-6!  In fact we had 16 and counting!

Heyward is LOVING the snow.  He went bounding through it like a deer or a rabbit.  For a while he just laid down in it.  Silly dog!  After Joe got a path going for Bella, he came in and made waffles!  Mac loves waffles!  He had his new turtle guard his waffles.....

After breakfast, Joe decided to brave the outside to snow blow our driveway.  He opened the garage door to even more snow.....

On a baby front, we changed the double stroller we registered for.  Well, we changed the affordable one that we registered for.  We made it over to Babies R Us yesterday and they had a big whopping 2 strollers to play with.  However, even that helped!  We discovered that we really want the new big stroller to have bike tires and it is going to need a divider between the seats.  After some research we decided to go with the Instep Safari Double Jogging Stroller.  Amy is going to see if it is at her Target and if it is then she is going to play with it for us......

Hubba Hubba

That is Mac's new phrase.  Hubba hubba.  He says it at the weirdest times (on the toilet, randomly in the hallway, with a mouth full of food).  While he is saying Hubba hubba, he wiggles his eyebrows.  Strange.

Yesterday, we made art for Nora's room.  We printed a tree from Google images and Mac used his fingers to add leaves.  He picked out the colors he wanted (yellow and orange).  When he got done making the tree, he switched to dinosaurs.....

After my awesome massage (90 minutes of heaven), I came home to find that Joe had made dinner.  We had french fries and sloppy Joes (which will be hereby known as Sloppy Macs).  Mac was not super sure of it at first but then he tore into it.

This weekend is birthday bonanza. We have Cayla's birthday tonight at Chuck E Cheese.  Miles's birthday tomorrow.  And a friend of Joe's from work's daughter's birthday on Sunday.  So in order to get ready for the birthday bonanzas, we headed to Target to pick out birthday presents. Mac helped carry the bags out to the car.....

Once Mac went to sleep for the night, I became OBSESSED with searching for a good double stroller. I was originally just going to get a single jogging stroller.  Then I put some thought into it.  I really like going on walks during the summer time.  Mac cannot walk for the length of time that I go for.  I also thought about that I want to be able to walk even in the winter.  This translates into a double jogging stroller.  A double, side by side jogging stroller.  Once I decided on that aspect, the obsession became which was the best.  I very quickly figured out that I was talking two very different price ranges.  I registered at Target for a lower priced model (Baby Trend) and a higher priced better quality model (B.O.B).  When Joe gets home, we are going to go over to Babies R Us to play with the models that they have in store.....

Bubba Burger Cape

Mac is currently fascinated with capes.  I scoured Pinterest for cape making ideas.  AND I found one!  We needed an old t-shirt and scissors.  Easy.  Joe went upstairs and pulled out a crazy bright colored Bubba Burger t-shirt.

Step 1: Cut off the sleeves.

Step 2: Cut up the sides of the tshirt.

Step 3: Cut around the neck to make a cape shape.  Then cut the neck in half so it can be tied around the neck!

Advance warning....video may make you dizzy!

Busy Busy Busy

Yesterday was a BUSY day.  I had a doctor's appointment first thing in the morning.  Everything is good.  We made our appointments through the remainder of the pregnancy.  Can't believe that I have just over 2 months to go!  I weigh in at a big whopping 157 which puts my weight gain at 24 pounds total so far (which is how much I gained total with Mac).  Dr. Hinkle doesn't think that Nora will be bigger than Mac.

When we got back to the house, it was play time!

Mac made his own lunch of pizza....

After lunch, it was time to head to Cayla's house.  Caryn watched Mac so I could go get my hair cut.  I chopped off about 6 inches of my hair.  My head feels so much lighter!

When we got back to the house, I asked Mac if he had to go potty.  He said yes but when we got in the bathroom his pull-up was FULL so I didn't think much would happen.  However, I was wrong.  He got on the toilet, proceeded to pee, and then asked for his ipad.  He only gets his Ipad if he is going to poop or try to poop.  So I gave it to him and walked out.  About 10 minutes later I hear "MOMMMMMMYYYYYYY I pooped!"  I walked in there to check things out (I totally didn't believe him) but sure enough he had pooped!  We celebrated with noise makers!!!!!

Last night we watched Cayla for a couple of hours.  Mac and Cayla have such fun together!

First day of spring break

Today was my first official day of spring break.  It was awesome!  Mac let me sleep until 9.  WHAT WHAT.

I did some thank you writing today......with the view of Heyward passed out under me!

We got an awesome delivery from my mama today.....

And this was my view while Mac was napping....and what sucked is that he was blocking the cable box so I couldn't change the channel.

When Mac got up from his nap, it was game on.  He turned into Superpants and Joe was "backman" (which is Mac's version of batman).

Joe made us an awesome dinner of chicken enchiladas with mexican rice.  Delish.  Mac was patiently waiting....

We decided to head to the playground after dinner for some family fun.  We got all bundled up.  I have discovered that my snow bibs no longer zip.

We decided to put Mac in our bike trailer and I would push him to the playground while Joe walked Heyward.  Here was my view!

When we got there, Mac had a great time.  Things were a little slick and he would come shooting out of the slides.  I am pretty sure that it hurt his tuckus but it was so funny!

Mac made me crispy Bubba Burgers....

Mac made me crispy Bubba Burgers....

See? Proof of the funniness of Mac flying out of slides....

We headed back after a little bit.....

Mac got a bath and a story and then it was bedtime for him!  He is so stinking cute.  Oh my goodness.  I took some pictures earlier of Nora's room so far for a friend of mine at work.  She is one of the hosts for my work baby shower.  I think it is going to be a pretty big shower.  I am excited!  I keep playing around with my registries.  Fun!
