It's so weird knowing that Mac is a whole year older. I have a 3 year old. That baffles me.
Expect this blog to jump around in topics (welcome to my brain). It started snowing last night and originally we were supposed to get 1-3 inches. They lied. We woke up this morning to snow high enough to touch the bottom of my car! When I got to my classroom, it had definitely not been shoveled. Fun.
When Mac and Joe got home, we decided to go to Babies R Us to find a crib and to let Mac use his gift card. He picked out a dinosaur set. Surprise surprise. My man loves his dinosaurs!
When we got home, Mac immediately wanted to play with his dinosaurs. He likes lining his dinosaurs up!
And lastly, a belly picture for giggles. Next week, we are doing random spirit week for teachers (aka the teachers have different themes each day and we dress up). Monday is workout day and I think Tuesday is college day. This led me to a problem. What in the world do I wear for college day? I found a tshirt that was super long that I squeezed myself into. My big ole belly is showcased.....

Nora's room update
Since last week's pregnancy fun, we have decided that we probably need to get a crib as soon as we can. That is MUCH easier said than done. The crib I originally wanted, we couldn't get up here. I picked a second crib and that one wouldn't be able to be delivered up here. Finally, today we headed to Babies R Us (twofold trip- get a crib and let Mac pick a toy). There were not a lot of cribs that ship to Alaska. Crazy. The guy checked to see what crib he had in stock. I was so tired of looking at cribs that I told Joe just to pick something. Luckily, my man has good taste (at least in cribs).
Mac "assisted" Joe in putting together the crib. It was adorable! It took a little longer with Mac's help but oh so cute!!!!!! After the crib was built, we just shoved it up against the wall. The room is not ready at all but we are heading there!

Just another Monday.... At the hospital
Jami sent me an email last Monday with the subject line of "I feel weird..." Next thing I know, were in the hospital and Jami is having contractions. They wanted to monitor Jami for a while to see what was going on. That gave us a lot of time to play with our phones:
Jami said that in the picture below I was downloading an app to make myself a zombie. I don't remember that. I think I was doing something productive.
Here's a graph of Jami's contractions. The peaks are where a contraction occurred. They were happening pretty often, but the nurse said that they were only lasting about 10 seconds each which was a good sign.
The next step was to give Jami a shot to hopefully make the contractions go away. The liquid in the shot burned really bad for a few minutes, but it did slow down the contractions for about an hour. After that they came right back. The nurse then hooked Jami up to an IV to get liquids and an anti-biotic. They thought that the contractions were being caused by an infection, so hopefully the anti-biotic took care of that. We ended up leaving at about 9 pm with Jami's contractions pretty much stopped. Whew!
A boy and his dog
Heyward got really really really STINKY last week. I am pretty sure it was because he barfed in his crate. Pretty sure. He is getting entirely too big for us to give him a bath in our tub so we hauled him over to the carwash.....
No joke. The carwash. Ha. It has an indoor dog wash station. It is $20 for 20 minutes and they provide everything.
Mac wanted to go with us so family trip we did! Mac had a great time helping us and he was adorable. Heyward did not enjoy it as much.

I even got videos!!!!!
Multi-purpose room
Our laundry room is now fully the definition for a multi-purpose room. It is a laundry room. A pantry. An office. And now it is a bedroom. Joe broke down the guest bed out of the future Nora's room and moved it downstairs. I was originally planning on Joe building a murphy bed. Yeah. Did some measuring and realized that I could just stick the bed downstairs and call it good.
DO NO LOOK AT THE NOT MATCHING BEDDING. That will eventually be changed.
Nora's room looks so much bigger now! All we have to do on that front is to find a crib that will actually ship to Alaska. SUCH A PAIN IN THE TUCKUS.

Brushy Brushy Brushy
We took Mac back to the dentist today for his 6 month cleaning. He actually does really well at the dentist which is kind of funny to me for some reason.
They got xrays of his teeth. I got kicked out while they were actually doing the xrays. He liked looking at the pictures when the technician pulled it up on the computer.....
He did a great job while the assistant cleaned his teeth. We need to brush his gums more. We didn't have to brush his teeth tonight because they did a fluoride treatment on his teeth. He let the dentist scrape his teeth. And bonus.....NO CAVITIES!

Sunday Funday
Today was a jam packed day! For some weird reason (probably has to do with the fact that I am pregnant!), I haven't been sleeping very well. I woke up super early yesterday and I was like since I woke up early today my body will let me sleep tomorrow. That a lie. I woke up at like 5:20 this morning. AARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH. I got some snuggle time in with Heyward though.
Once everyone else woke up, we got dressed and headed to Gwennie's. Mac talked nonstop about waffles. Guess what he had for breakfast?!?
After breakfast, we headed to Target. We had a fabulous time! Well, we always have a fabulous time....Cept this time Mac pooped and smelled up the store. So Joe changed his diaper. They came back and then continued to have a great time. Then Mac pooped again. We decided at that point that it was probably time to leave. Joe was able to get Target to price match their online price for the new baby monitor which is awesome! We headed home to change poopy mcpoopy pants' diaper and then we went right back to Target. We also got some ADORABLE baby clothes! Baby Nora is going to be one styling baby!
After Target, we headed to Lowes (or Wowes as Mac calls it). We were plotting out to restage Nora's closet so I would be able to hang up more clothes. We bought a big rod thing and rehung the middle shelves to do two long rods for clothes. Once Mac went down for his nap, Mary helped Joe put it all together.
While Mac was napping, Joe and Mary headed to the grocery store. They were gone a crazy long while! I heard Mac get up so I went upstairs and snuggled him for a little bit. Joe got a picture of it through the security camera!!!!!
I can't believe that the weekend is over already! I do not at all want to go to work tomorrow.
