I have let the house organizing lag a little bit. In my defense, growing a bambino is exhausting as is having a two year old and a husband and working! Today, I tackled Mac's closet. I had just been throwing clothes that he outgrew in the floor of his closet. I separated them by size and boxed them up. Then Joe went through Mac's clothes that are hanging. We boxed up pretty much all of Mac's 3t clothes. We discovered that we probably should have done that a while ago because Mac doesn't have much clothes....well at least long sleeve warm clothes! We also discovered that Mac has like 2 pairs of shoes that fit. GIANT GROWING BOY.
How lucky was I that just this morning I got an email from Old Navy saying the entire store was on sale????? We ran over to Old Navy and got Mac some shirts and a pair of pants. I really really wanted a "Big Brother" tshirt so I could take a picture of Mac in it. I used to see them all over the place and now that I want one of course I can't find one! Joe picked out this sweater that has a super hero on it with the word "POW"....it came from Baby Gap. It is actually pretty cute! The nice cashier at Old Navy gave Mac a balloon. He LOVED it.
We ran to Target afterwards because I really have it in my head to own a "Big Brother" tshirt. But of course Target didn't have one either. Mac and I had a great time though trying on weird Halloween hat/wig things!
After Target, we ran to Home Depot. We bought a crazy amount of wood the other day (which Joe is currently chopping up) but we needed something to hold it. We bought a 8 foot long firewood rack. It is now in our garage and Joe is stocking up the firewood on it! Our fireplace keeps our house pretty toasty. Plus a fire is always awesome!
Yesterday, I REALLY wanted pizza. So we called in an order to Moose's Tooth. This was Mac's face when he figured out we were getting pizza for dinner......"I hold pitza"
We always order the Avalanche pizza and it is delish. It does have a little kick to it but Mac doesn't seem to care....he tears it up!!!!!!!

FAMILY: Take Picture Mommy
Mac has gotten very vocal and bossy lately! He often wants us to take pictures of things.....I wonder if they make toddler cameras?
Last week, we were playing in Target and Joe decided to stick this crazy Halloween hat on Mac's head. Mac thought it was funny. "Mac funny, Daddy."
Yesterday was a crazy day, the weather was nuts (crazy wind and a LOT of rain). A friend of mine posted this picture on Facebook....

Yesterday was also crazy because we got to see the first ultrasound. I was really kind of nervous that there were going to be two babies because of how hormonal I have been and the awful morning sickness. However, there is just one nugget!!!! The due date is officially May 28th (I told Dr. Hinkle that I already knew that because Google told me).
A couple of days ago, Mac and I were talking about the baby. He is so cute about it. He tries to feed the baby through my belly button.

ALASKA: Bore Tide
When we left the Trail of Blue Ice yesterday, we headed back North on the Seward Highway. As we were driving along, we noticed some people out on the water on paddle boards (yup, they had on wetsuits). As Joe was asking "why are they doing that?" I noticed that there was a giant wave coming. We were finally seeing the Bore Tide! It is a big wave that comes in with the tide. Joe and I have never seen it since we have lived here in Alaska so we were pretty excited. Joe hastily pulled over so I could jump out and try to get pictures. Unfortunately, I did not get pictures of the Bore Tide up front (but my friend Sarah did). I did get some pretty cool pictures though!
ALASKA: Trail of Blue Ice
On Saturday, we met up with Sarah and Lee to head down to Portage Valley to do a "hike." And I say "hike" because we weren't hiking....we were walking.
The drive down was completely gorgeous. We have actually had a fall this year. I don't know if I have ever seen the leaves this gorgeous up here. It is just breathtaking.
We got to the trail and loaded the dogs and Mac up. We did leave Bella behind (she doesn't like long walks as much as Heyward does).

FAMILY: Loved at daycare
Joe and I are incredibly blessed to have found a wonderful wonderful place to send Mac during the day when we have to work. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Erica's friend Amy comes over and does preschool with the toddlers. Mac can count to 9 (he skips 7 every now and then). He comes home with art work. It makes my heart happy. Amy posted some pictures today on Facebook that are just oh so cute!
Mac is walking down the street holding Annamaria's hand....so cute!
WORK & ALASKA: A summary of my day so far
Today has been a weird day. It was off to an awesome start. I found a card on my wall that a student made me yesterday. It was a wonderful start to my day. She has sweet and wonderful things to say.
The next part of my day did not go so great. We are on the last day of graduation testing. About an hour and a half into the test, I had to throw up. I had to send an email to my department chair for her to come out to my room. I had to run myself into the building and up front to the staff bathroom so I could throw up (I refused to throw up in the student bathrooms). The secretary pulled me into her office to give me a peppermint when the need to throw up hit me again. I am sitting in her office with a cold compress on my neck and her trashcan in my lap when one of my administrators came in (a male administrator). Guess how he found out that I am pregnant? Yup, by coming into a room where I am dry heaving when I should have been proctoring a state mandated test. I am crying because that is what I do when I throw up. The secretary is trying to make me feel better and find someone to cover my afternoon classes because they were sending me home. The admin looked like he had no idea what to say. They had me sit there until I looked ok to go into my classroom (where students were still testing) to get my stuff. I was mortified. I cried the entire way on my drive home.
My doctor's nurse (Sherry) called. My bloodwork has come back perfectly. My progesterone levels are exactly what my doctor wanted. In fact, everything looks so good that we scheduled two appointments for next week.....one of those being an ultrasound. Another appointment was scheduled for two weeks after that. I have a feeling I am going to be seeing the doctor way more on this go around. Even better thing though......she called in a prescription of nausea medication for me. Thank goodness. This pregnancy so far (all 6.5 weeks of it) has been the polar opposite of how I was with Mac.
On an Alaska note: The first round of PFD's come out today which means that all of the stores in the Anchorage area will be packed. There will be lines out of the liquor stores. Joe wants to head to Costco to get some ladder but Costco is going to be crazy packed.....so much so that a Facebook page I followed made a meme to make fun of it......
