2000 & wow

I cannot get certain songs out of my head.  I GOT THAT BOOM BOOM POW!  Sorry.......

There is a comedian that Joe and I both like (Jim Gaffigan).  I am currently reading his second book, Food: A Love Story, and we have ordered his first book, Dad is Fat.  It is cracking me up.  The entire book is literally about food and he is SPOT on with his food assessments.  LOVING IT!

Yesterday, I had a girl date with my favorite South Carolina girl living in Alaska!  We went downtown and had french fries for dinner.  True story.  It was great catching up with her and hearing someone who sounds like me!  Did I mention that she brought Bojangles french fry seasoning in her purse and we put it on the fries?  Yup.  That happened.  What made it even better was that our waiter is from Macon, Georgia.  Small Georgia southern people world!  Anywho...when I got back from my girl date, Nora was already in bed.  Without a swaddle!  She actually made it through the night (I don't count the 4:30 wake up).  Fingers crossed that we make it again because she is in bed right now with no swaddle!

After big girl ate some sweet potatoes and had 4 ounces this afternoon, she took a little snooze while I got dinner going.  Then she woke up and it was PLAYTIME.  She spent some time rolling on the floor and laughing at Mac.  She acted like she was getting cranky so I sat next to her (she is a people person).  I spent some good time kissing those gigantic chubby cheeks.  She finds it hilarious.  She then decided she wanted to try to eat my face....I am pretty sure she might be a zombie.....

My kids are awesome.  Granted sometimes the bigger one drives me absolutely insane but he is so stinking cute....that saves him.

Oh and on a completely unrelated note....Mama, those Philosophy capsules that you gave me are AWESOME and I love them.  Where did you find them?

CUTEST STORE EVER!

Pictures!

I just looked through my phone and realized that I had a whole bunch of pictures/stories that need to be shared.  This is no particular order.....

Chunk is loving her feet.  It cracks me up.

Doing some tummy time on Joe's tummy.  Her facial expressions crack me up!

Cheese!

Erica took this picture of Nora at daycare.  She said it looks like Nora is talking/praying to Papa (Papa died Wednesday night and he usually spent every single morning snuggling Nora).

Spending some time in the morning with Nora....AKA I was drinking coffee and trying to convince myself to get dressed for work.

Joe dressed Nora.  She is in a ballet shoe onesy with a Christmas tutu.  Joe's logic was that tutus go with ballet.

Mac was "calling" Erica to conduct some business.

Snuggled with my Chunk next to the fire.

She is just so round and I love it.

After eating some apples and having 4 ounces of formula (or formia in the words of Mac), my little girl passed out.  And I know she was exhausted because she rarely falls asleep on me like that.

Hi Mac.

On Sundays I put together my vitamins for the week.  Go ahead and make fun.  Yes, I have an old lady pill box.  I am in the process of trying to get as many of my vitamins in gummy form.  I take a lot.  Vitamin C. Multi. D. Probiotics. Fish Oil. Hair Skin Nails.

My Saturday morning wake up.

There is a Mac photo bombing....

I made rice crispy treats today!  We are having ranch burgers and sweet potato fries for dinner.  Joe was going to grill the burgers but there is a beastly wind storm so we will probably George Foreman it.
Mac was rocking his sunglasses.  Yes, those are his.  He picked them out during the summer.  He is silly.

Christmas Card Options

When my mama was up here, she took some pictures of the kids to see if she could get any for their Christmas card....Here are the ones that were the best or the ones that made me giggle the most.....If you adjusted the color in some of these pictures they would probably be ok.  Let me know if you want one!

bahahahahaha look at that face

OOOHHHHHH my skirt!!!!!!

A little bit ago, I decided to put the kids in the pajamas that were ordered from Old Navy and stick them in our bed for Christmas pictures.  I put some Christmas books in the bed with them and just took some pictures.  We are using some of these for the card we have made!  I am not telling you which ones though!!!!!

I am SOOOOO ready for Christmas!

Nora @ 5 months

The time is FLYING by!  My big girl is 5 months old (well, yesterday).  Joe just weighed her and she weighs 16.6 pounds!  That's 16.6 pounds of giggling, bottle chugging baby.

What we know about her:
-She is not too sure about food yet.  She likes to spit it out.
-She does like to suck on the spoon though.
-She is a drooling champion.
-She finds Mac hilarious.
-She is a beast.  She takes the bruisings her brother gives her and doesn't generally seem fazed by it.
-She REALLY REALLY REALLY wants to roll over on the floor.  She can get to her side but can't figure out how to move her arm.
-She has tried applesauce in her rice cereal but seems to like banana more.
-She LOVES staring at the dogs....particularly their tails.
-She enjoys spinning things around on her bouncer.
-She is still in size 2 diapers.
-She likes to chew on fingers.
-She is just now getting into size 6 months clothes (Carters brand) but they are a little big on her.
-Socks do not last very long on her feet.
-She still sleeps swaddled.
-She sleeps every night from roughly 7:30 until 6ish the next morning.
-She has discovered her voice even more so and lets her presence be known.
-She laughs at the TV every now and then.
-She likes to see herself (mirrors, phones, pictures, videos)
-She likes to sit in the bumpoo on the table with us at meal time.
-She cries less than her brother.
-She looks like a turtle during tummy time.
-Heyward thinks that Nora is his baby.
-She loves splashing in the big bathtub.
-She loves Mac splashing water on her face in the big bathtub.

Here are the "outtakes" from her 5 month pictures.

Mac threw a giraffe on her head at this point.

She is already in the first ballet position....

We attempted to sit her upright next to her sign but that obviously didn't work out for us.  TIMBER!!!!!!

We were laughing so hard at her falling over.  I tried to get a picture of that left leg up in the air but was unsuccessful.
