There is no doubt that there is a bun in the oven.

On my way to pick up Mac from Erica's there was a Moose blocking the road.

It got a little annoyed that I was trying to get by.

So it turned and started to walk towards me....

Mommy= tired

I am one tired mommy.  I am not at all sleeping well.  I stayed home today with Mac.  He is still not eating terribly much but he is feeling much much better. Enough to be incredibly active.  He drove me up the wall.  Constantly wanted to climb over me and just into everything.  I am exhausted.  It doesn't help that I am a little worried about going back to work tomorrow because I received a TERRIBLE email from the sub I had today........

Throw Up, Laundry, Fevers, & Hives

Mac spent the day snuggled with me.  Big time snuggles.  All day.  Mac was definitely not feeling good.  The last load of Mac's throwup bedding went into the wash at like 4.  I probably need to get up and go switch it over........

I was playing on Facebook earlier and saw this funny picture.  Yall might not find it so funny but I did!

Mac is already in bed.  We are watching shows on DVR that we recorded but just now getting around to.  I am beyond exhausted.  I did not sleep well at all last night.  Maybe tomorrow I can sleep in.  I had to call in a sub because I couldn't send Mac to daycare tomorrow.  Another lazy day (hopefully).

The Joys of Mommyness

Today I am at home with my little man.  On my way to work this morning, Joe called me to say that Mac had thrown up all over his bed.  Mac never gets sick.  Mac has not thrown up since he was a baby baby.  So as I type this I am doing an obscene amount of gross laundry and my little man is snuggled next to me.  I have already had to scrub out the washing machine after just one wash.  Yuck.  It is going to be a long long day for this mommy........

To update yall on yesterday:

Joe's boss is in town as there is a new engineer in Joe's office.  So this week I get to pick Mac up from Erica's.  When we got to the house, Mac helped me by carrying in his stuff.  He didn't really want to but he did it.

Last night was the first time my favorite show (besides So You Think You Can Dance) was on....The Biggest Loser.  For some reason that show makes me want to eat.  I ate birthday cake while we watched.  Joe had me cracking up while he was making fun of some of the conversations.  Joe also had a snuggle buddy....in the shape of a gigantic dog.

Red Room Update: GREY!!!!!!!

The new paint in the "red" room looks amazing!  Joe took pictures earlier but for some reason the paint is coming across more of a khaki/tan color than the grey it is........I think once Mac goes to bed, Joe is going to try to get the ceiling painted!  Then the ceiling will be back white like normal ceilings!

We need to paint the baseboards and the trim still.  After the painting is done, then it is time to install the DIY pantry!  I need to figure out a way that we are going to hide it......I was thinking of somehow hanging curtains in front of that pantry area but I am not quite sure how to yet.

Pretty sure that I am also going to need curtains in front of the window too........Whatever.  That is not a priority.

Back to work. Blah.

UGGHHHHH today I went back to work for the first time in two weeks.  Yuck yuck yuck.  However, I am the meanest teacher in the world and the first assignment this semester is an essay assignment.  It was a pretty long day.  I think I must have slept on my belly funny because I have been crazy uncomfortable all day. I am sitting here with a heating pad on my belly/pelvis and it is making me feel better.  It also helps that I am watching football while Joe is making dinner.  The smell of bacon makes everything better.  Yum bacon!

Another awesome thing.....there was a box on my porch when I got home.  Aunt Amy sent Baby Nora a gift!

I really tried to wait until Joe got home to open it (I even ate cake as a way to distract myself!).  However, it did not work out!  The temptation was just too great!  The gift was so incredibly cute and adorable!  I cannot wait to start setting up the nursery.....that might be a little while though!

Mac got a little irritated when we changed the channel to the national championship game but we distracted him with trains (he was mad at Sam at daycare today because Sam kept taking his trains).  I posted a picture to Facebook and Erica made a comment about how glad he must be to have all of his trains to himself.....

I brought work home with me tonight so I can get next week planned for.....I am debating if I am going to actually do it though......we are going to learn about lit terms and then watch The Lion King to identify them.  Yup.  That is happening.  The Lion King is the Disney version of Hamlet so it is all good!

Birthday!

I cannot believe that I am 29!  It honestly doesn't feel different than any other birthday (well, except for maybe 21....that one was fun!).  How did I spend my birthday?

-Went to the grocery store
-Went to Sams' Club
-Went to Best Buy and got Joe's birthday present (FitBit Force)
-Went to Lowes
-Lazy tv time
-Created some mini syllabi for work to copy for tomorrow
-Cooked dinner

Joe was going to make me dinner but I told him that I could do it and he could keep painting.  We decided to not do the Notre Dame grey that we originally thought and switched to a more khaki color grey.  Joe is literally painting as I type.....

Back to dinner, I made rib eye beef stroganoff and it was DELISH.  Heyward decided to camp out at my feet.....

Joe made me my all time favorite cake earlier today and put it in the fridge to keep it cold.  Strawberry shortcake.....so. good.

And for some weird reason.....Joe decided to hold Mac like this....and Mac is so tall that his head is hitting the ceiling in our dining room area.
