Sunday Funday

Today, I overdid myself.  I am very tired and very sore.  Going back to work tomorrow is going to suck.  Bad.

We went to Barnes and Noble because my Mama and my Daddy gave me a Mother's Day gift card.  I am super excited....I got 2 books and a fashion magazine.  While I was browsing, Joe and Mac went to the children's section for story time.  Mac actually sat and listened to the first reading.  That probably had something to do with the goldfish he was consuming and spreading over the store.....

Mac discovered a pot in the one cabinet that we don't have a child lock on yet.... Here's the shenanigans that ensued:

Mac gone wild.

Joe volunteered today to work at the airplane trade show at the FedEx hanger.  Since I am still not allowed to pick up Mac, our friend Sarah came over to baby sit me and Mac.  Mac had a grand time running around and I LOVED talking with Sarah about houses and decorating!

We also drove around the neighborhood of the house that we like.  The neighborhood is soooo super cute!  Joe had batting practice with his softball team today.  He took Mac with him and our friend Caryn pulled him and Cayla around in the radio flier wagon....

After Joe got home with Mac, Mac ran amok in the house.  He then discovered that Joe has an Ipad and thought it would be great fun to play with!

Lately, we have been struggling like crazy to get Mac to eat his veggies.  He literally was having nothing to do with it....so today I cooked him carrots, peas, and corn with a chicken bouillain cube to give it some flavor and he totally ate it!  This was a super proud moment!

While Mac was eating, he kind of got food on himself so we pulled his shirt off (which he loves being naked or half naked).  When he walks around with no shirt on, for some weird reason he just LOVES to pat his giant belly.  Silly boy.  It was kind of hard to get a picture of him because he MOVES so much!

While Mac was running around, he shut the bedroom door and got very irritated that he could not get out.  I sat on the floor in the living room and Mac brought me a book.  He proceeded to sit on my lap (first time I have held him since before the surgery) for me to read to him.  He is so stinking cute.  I read the book to him for as long as he would pay attention.  I am paying for holding him now because my body hurts........but I don't care because I snuggled Mac!

Rain and spatulas

Mac has a FASCINATION with our spatulas.....our spatulas and the spatula drawer.  He likes to open the drawers and pull out all of the spatulas.  He then likes to walk around our living room waving two of them around in his hands while babbling to himself.  It is pretty funny.  He kind of looks like a drunk ET who just happens to be waving around spatulas when he walks.....

Today, Joe and I met with our mortgage broker and got the finances taken care of so we can make an offer on a house!  After we met with Adam (broker), we went and picked up Mac from Erica!  He was soooo excited to see us (that never fails to make me feel awesome!)!  On the way back to our house, it got VERY quiet in the backseat (that never happens) so we looked back and Mac had passed out.  He is so stinking cute!  He is even stinking cute with dried food on his face!

On an Alaskan note, it is RAINING.  That is better than the SNOW we are supposed to be getting this weekend!  It is kind of chilly outside too!  Positive news though....the snow is melted!

Not so good

Today, I had my post-op doctors appointment which I was not really worried about.....However, I did not get the best news.

Good news:  My surgery went well and I am healing well.  My doctor got all of my scar tissue out....

Bad news:  There is a lot of damage to my left fallopian tube and it is twisted.  My doctor told me today that I probably will not be able to get pregnant again due to the amount of damage.  He does not want us trying to get pregnant for at least 6 months.  He said that when we decide we want to try to get pregnant that I will need to have some test done to see if my fallopian tube is open or closed.  If it is open, then we can attempt to get pregnant (but as soon as I get pregnant we have to go in for testing to make sure it is not a tubal pregnancy).  If it is closed, then getting pregnant naturally is not an option.  If it is closed, we might have to consider IVF.  If we have to do IVF, then I would have to have surgery again to remove my left fallopian tube in order to have the fertilized egg planted in my uterus.

Let me tell you.  I NEVER thought I would be in this position.  I have cried a lot.  I am pretty sure that I am in shock.  I NEVER thought that I would be a 27 year old who has already had 2 tumors and her ovary/fallopian tube removed AND will probably not be able to get pregnant again.  It is overwhelming.  My dad told me to focus on getting healthy and to think about the positives in my life.  I am trying REALLY hard to focus on the positives but honestly that is really difficult at this point.  Maybe tomorrow will be better!

Positives
My beautiful baby boy
My wonderful husband
My awesome family
I have a job
I live in an awesome place
We might be buying a house
Pick up lines make me happy
This summer will hopefully be awesome
We bought a camper so camping is going to be amazing
We have some awesome people in our lives
The show "The Big Bang Theory" never fails to make me giggle
The smell of the bacon my husband is cooking

BRRRRRR

Alaska decided to get "chilly-er" again!  How crazy is it that we might get snow this weekend?  INSANE.  The sun was super bright and it looked like it should be so warm outside...but that is a lie.

Today, we took a family stroll to the mailbox.  This translates into Mac walked in circles in someone's driveway while I walked to the mailbox.  However, my mama would be proud that I walked!

We also went and looked at another house today.  It is actually in our agent's neighborhood.  The house was pretty big and was on a lake (which is amazing).  However, the house was going to need a good bit of work done on it.  I also did not really like the layout.  It was like a bigger version of the house we have now and I really wanted the kitchen to be on the main floor of whatever house we get.

After we looked at the house, we walked back to our agent (Stephen)'s house.  We met his wife and his son!  They were super nice!

All in all it was a good day.  I actually did some housework....known as I put up dishes and cleaned off the kitchen counters.  I also made homemade meatballs which I snuck pureed veggies in as a way to sneak them to Mac.....SNEAKY SNEAKY!

I am in love.....

with a house!  Joe and I went to look at some houses yesterday!  Mac went with us!  We looked at 3 places and we fell in love with 1!  Right now we are kind of scrambling to get finances and stuff together so we can actually make an offer on it!  The neighborhood is SUPER cute!  There is a spot for the rv!

Here is a website of the house:

I am going to attach some pictures that Joe took with his cell phone....they are not the best quality!

Apparently this morning Joe dressed Mac in a Ga Tech jersey!  I was not awake because I am still recovering from the surgery but Joe emailed me this picture.....I am pretty sure that I have the cutest baby ever!
