Sweater vest & cold

This week is spirit week at work.  Today, was ugly sweater day.  So I wore the ugly sweater that mama got me.....(sorry mama).

When I left my house this morning, this is how cold my car said it was....

Joe's car said it was -10 and it was probably more accurate because his car sits outside all night while mine is in the garage.  It was officially I think -13 though.

When I left my work, the warmest my car ever said the temperature was ......

When Joe got home with Mac, Mac was not super happy.  I think his back teeth are coming in and bothering him.  The only way he would stop yelling was laying on Joe like this...

He eventually got in a better mood and ran around like a crazy baby.  Oh wait...he is a crazy baby.  He refused to eat dinner when I made it....but wanted it like 2 hours later.  So he ate cold fish sticks for dinner.  weird baby.

I learn something new...

I learn something new every day.  Today, I learned about something called Citrus Lane.  My friend Lisa (the same one who took our pictures) told me about it.  It is so cute!  I am thinking about doing this for Mac....thoughts?

With Citrus Lane, you'll get a box every month filled with cute and practical products recommended by real moms.

Tomorrow is ugly sweater day at work.....and I am going to rock this....

Mac still has a cold but that doesn't get him down!  He is "reading" the cookbook and saying "cookie, cookie" while watching "bob".  That baby is silly!

Vroom Vroom!

Mac had fun playing with his trucks today. He was moving them all over the room! First he moved them into the kitchen and parked them under the cabinets:

Then played with them there:

And then it was time to transfer them too....

Mommy! He would slowly push them over the arm rest so they would drive off the cliff onto Mommy:

 Time to move them again:

He has to be in the box to put the trucks into the basket...

Time to jump out!

That baby!

Fun Day Monday

Today was Funday Monday.  Which means interesting things happened.  First off.  It was COLD COLD COLD today.  Seriously we had a high of like 4 (no matter what the stupid weather websites say because my car never got above 4).  I completely spaced and forgot to take gloves with me to work so I thought my little hands were going to fall off while I was waiting for my car to warm up.  I did however have a GORGEOUS view of the sun going down on the mountains at like 3:15....

Another funday Monday incident involves an earthquake.  We haven't had too many big earthquakes while we have been up here.  Seriously, I think we have only felt one/two other ones.  Today, that changed.  I was holding Mac and playing in the living room when everything started shaking.  Joe and I kind of stared at each other for a little bit thinking it would stop....it didn't.  After about 20 seconds, we decided we better go get in the doorway.  Bella hauls it upstairs to go hide under the bed.  On our way to the doorway, we noticed that all of our wall stuff was flopping around (didn't fall off thanks to the awesome power of monkey hooks).  All in all it probably lasted for over 30 seconds.  When it was finished I was immediately curious to the magnitude.  The initial report shows that it was a 5.7 and located 34 miles west.  It has since been updated to be a 5.8 and only 25 miles away.  CRAZY!

Weekend Recap

Here is more pictures from us watching Cayla....

Saturday was a lazy spent watching football.....

Our friends Caryn and Nick came over to be lazy with us....and then we headed to their brother Kris's place for family dinner.  The babies had a great time playing in the laundry basket in our laundry room....

GO DAWGS

Today is the day.  Today, we play Alabama for the SEC Championship.  I am nervous.

Sorry I haven't done a post in a couple of days.  I have been crazy busy and then thoroughly exhausted.  Erica is working on potty training with Mac and she took this picture yesterday.....

Last night we kept Cayla so that Nick and Caryn could go to a holiday office party.  Cayla loves her Uncle Joe!  She said his name over and over and over.  It probably helps that Joe throws the babies up in the air and all around....

Last night before we went to bed, this is what I found in our closet.  The joys of having a toddler!  You never know where you are going to find something!

Mac has a cold right now (no fever) but he has the boogies and the clogged ness and the scratchy voice.  You wanna know how I can tell he doesn't feel good without the above?  He is not hungry.  He is thirsty but not really hungry.  We are going to be spending a lot of time in the bathtub trying to break up his nastiness and using a lot of kleenexs and using a lot of vicks vapor rub.

GO DAWGS!

7:21

When I started writing this post it was 7:21.  I am in the bed.  Today was a LONG day.  However, I came home to a package at the door....the first round of Christmas presents that I ordered came in!!!!!  I am SO excited!

I love when Joe gets home with Mac because Mac comes hauling it down the hallway on a mad hunt for me.  It makes my heart happy.

He ran amuck playing.  I love watching him play.  I would really like to know what he thinks when he is playing....

Mac and I spent some quality time hanging out on the sofa.  He looked at ("read") a book for a while.  This means that he pointed at all the cars and said "cars".  Then he got distracted by "trux".  He also gave me lots of kisses which I love!

It is super cold up here (and super dry) so Joe built us a fire and it was toasty and awesome.  Mac came to sit on my lap and then this was my view....

A friend of mine took a picture of the sun going down from our school.  This was taken at 3:30!  SUNSET.  If I had windows in my classroom....this is what I would see!
