There are seriously not enough exclamation points to express the level of happiness that I feel that I don't have to deal with students for another two weeks. I do have to go in tomorrow for a grading day and planning day. I work at an awesome school and this morning was proof! Our administrators came by the classrooms with Starbucks coffee for us and a Christmas ornament. Yes, this morning I was double fisting coffee.
I had a meeting after school (as a sped teacher I do a LOT of meetings) and immediately after that I headed to the gym. I refuse to change the way I eat so I just figure that I will work out more. I have gone to the gym 2 days this week and it has been 2 days since I decided that I would just workout so I could eat what I want. I am truly dedicated....because I worked out even though I forgot a pony tail holder AND my water. Insane in the membrane. Before I left the gym, I set up an appointment for tomorrow to meet with a trainer. It is a one time thing but will just show me what I need to do. The way I figure is that I am probably going to be looking at surgery next summer so I might as well get in shape prior to it.
The rest of my family got home before me and Nora was an eating machine. I think because she sleeps so much at night that she makes up for it during the hours that she is awake. She averages probably 12 hours of sleep each night. That's right. 12. My 6 month old sleeps for 12 hours. Doesn't wake up. Joe was making dinner so I fed her the last bottle and got some snuggles in with my chunky chunky girl. I love making her giggle. She is super ticklish and for some weird reason likes her chubby face to be squeezed. It makes her laugh.
While I was upstairs folding laundry, the dogs went nuts. I ignored it because I was watching The Biggest Loser and that was a priority at the time for me. Joe, however, went to investigate. What did he find? Christmas treats from our neighbors directly across from us! The Christmas spirit has taken over the neighborhood! We delivered treats to some of our neighbors and we have had 3 neighbors bring by Christmas treats! Of course the Paeths had to take it to a whole new level. Their treats looked professional. They are beautiful and DELICIOUS.
One more completely unrelated story. Bella is crazy furry right now. She hasn't been able to be groomed for a while. Her surgery delayed things and then we wanted to find a different groomer. So her hair is ridiculous long. So long that it causes her to fall down the stairs when she is trying to go up the stairs. She can make it to our middle landing but refuses to go farther than that on her own. This means we have to get up out of the bed and carry her up the stairs. No joke. Thank goodness she is getting groomed on Sunday!

My family
My family is pretty awesome. There are not enough words to express how awesome my husbeast is. He takes care of me and the kids. He puts up with me. We laugh together. He takes crazy pictures on my cell phone.
The Chunk is a happy, easy baby (so far, fingers crossed). Even Godzilla is awesome (when he is not yelling or tantrumming). Another awesome thing? How much my kids love each other!
Look at the both of them that I was able to fit into my lap....they are awesome! How many times can I use the word 'awesome'? I might need to obtain a thesaurus...

Back again...
Today, I went to the gym for the first time since my surgery. I have also started back doing my FitBit. I have also started tracking calories through MyFitnessPal. The medications that I am on are packing on the pounds and I am NOT ok with it. I am probably going to be a little sore tomorrow.
I definitely made use of this new vapor foam bubble bath last night. We are in the midst of finals (well, starting tomorrow) and it is exhausting to this special ed teacher.
Here are some pictures from this weekend...we went through a carwash which had fun colors. Heyward likes to pass out on his back. Mac likes to take up space on my lap.
Today, Mac did a letter to Santa. He wants sharks and Crayons. Seriously. That is what he had me write to Santa. He tried to write his name but did not do too good of a job. He has a hard time holding a writing utensil and pressing down hard enough to write. I am a little worried but I guess that skill will come in time too.

Saturday Fun
I got up at 5:30 this morning. I was awake before both kids and my husband. I am pretty sure it has something to do with me staying in the bed for two days with a massive migraine. I was put on another prescription that I have to take for 21 days. Yay for Lupron giving me migraines. (hear the outpouring of sarcasm)
This morning after Joe got up he had to run back to the office to fix something. It was me and the Chunk and the Godzilla. Check out those Nora rolls.
We later ran to the grocery store to get the needed supplies for Christmas treats for the neighbors. After Mac and Nora went down for a nap, they woke up for some sibling snuggles. So stinking cute. They love each other a whole lot!

Once Joe got back, he fixed us some tasty pancakes. Mac ate more than I did. We decided to give Nora a pancake to see what she would do with it. She tried to chew it to death. She really didn't know what to do with it or how to eat it. It turned into a mush pancake.
Christmas Card Display
Last year, I displayed our Christmas cards by taping them to our kitchen cabinets. I didn't want to do that this year. I scoured Pinterest. We tend to get a good amount of Christmas cards so I needed something that would show all of them. I saw on Pinterest that someone made a Christmas tree and displayed cards on them. I thought it was genius. Joe and I picked up some washi tape in green and gold. Joe helped me ("let me do it, I'm an engineer"). Slapped the green up for the "tree" and created a "star" for the top. We are still taping them to the door but it just looks better!

Family Pictures
My good friend Lisa did our family pictures a couple of weekends ago and they were finished last night! We own the digitals to them and I am oh so happy with them! We did them outside in like 10 degree weather on a frozen lake North of Anchorage. I love that we live in such a beautiful landscaped area and can do so many pictures outside! Let me know if you want any of them!
