Nora's Room

We finished hanging up stuff in Nora's room today and I figured that I would share it with yall!

Morgan's art came in today and that is what prompted us to finish putting stuff up on Nora's walls.  LOVE it!

Here is the view from Nora's door.

Nora's crib.  This saw some things put up on the walls.

The quilt on the blanket of the chair is also from Alaska Picker.  So is the little quilt over the arm, it is a doll blanket.  The curtains were made by our family friend Beth.  The wall clock and plate came from Alaska Picker.

Joe built the cabinet (how awesome is my husbeast?!).

Those again are my vintage dresses from when I was a baby.  The actual changing table is old family furniture that actually has a mirror to go with it.  There is a silver platter that holds the wipes, sanitizer, lotion, and diaper cream.  On the side of the wall is a vintage basket turned on it's side that holds diapers.

Mary bought the side table (which is a light pink) and the milk glass lamp.  The little rabbit was mine when I was little.

A painting by Joe's grandmother.  One of Nora's birth announcements.  A vintage baby dress of mine.  A picture from Nora's newborn photo shoot. Nora's crib blanket is from Pottery Barn Kids and is from their Harper line.  It is monogrammed with her name.  The crib rail guard cover came from my friend Olivia's Etsy store.  The vintage window has a pink shade to it and it came from my favorite antique store, Alaska Picker.

Mary bought the mirror which has a light pink shade to it.  Mac made the bunny art and the finger print tree art.  The floral print came from Alaska Picker.  I also got the old school Bingo turner from Alaska Picker.  The numbers outside of the turner are Nora's birthday (6, 1, 14).  There are vintage alphabet blocks inside the glass thing.

Up close of the dresser top.  The art that Morgan made.  A random print that I found online.  My first ballet shoes in the glass dome.  There is a teacup set.  Vintage girl books from Alaska Picker.  And last is my glass shoe that has my baby information on the bottom (with my name totally spelled wrong).

Welcome to Nora Land!!!!!!

Pictures

So once again I have been a little lazy in my posting.  Every time that I post I think about the fact that I need to do a better job.

Nora had a great time playing on her floor gym.  Heyward thoroughly enjoyed sitting next to her!

Peekaboo!  This was the carseat cover that we used with Mac but it doesn't quite seem to work.  We ordered a Carseat Canopy set this weekend so that she might be kept warm without it landing on her face.

We got an awesome box in the mail the other day from Mary.  Nora got bows which Joe helped to model.  Dork.

I got some spooning action with my girl yesterday and she has a crazy good grip.  I love that chunky little hand.

We came home the other day to twin moose in the yard across the street.  We were slightly nervous that the mama was nearby and then we would be in danger but we didn't see her!  That is probably the best thing because the elementary street down the room was getting out for the day.

More bow modeling.

We have had an obscene amount of rain lately.  A parking lot near our favorite coffee place doesn't apparently drain very well.

I also spent some time this weekend organizing my nail polish stuff.  I LOVE Essie polish.  This isn't all I own but the colors made me quite happy.

My kids play together so well and it is awesome.

snuggles with my Chunk!

At my Target run today, I found this skeleton thing for like $4.  Definitely came home with me.

An Update....

My son's room has always been a hot mess.  He has an obscene amount of toys.  And why in the world do toys come with five bazillion pieces?  Once you lose one piece, the toy is done.  In thinking of the upcoming holiday season, Joe and I decided (mostly me) that it was time to clear out the little man's toys.  Mac helped me transfer all of his toys to my bedroom.  SO MUCH.

While Mac was taking a crazy long nap (almost 4 hours!), Joe and I sorted out his toys.  We have 2 giant black bags to be donated and 1 giant black bag that went in the trash.  Once we weeded out his toys, we began the process of organizing them.  We also took the legs off of his train table so that it may be stored under his bed.  Once we were done organizing, I took off to Target to get a cube storage unit.  We used to have another one but it was entirely too large.  I found a Threshold one that was perfect.  Espresso colored.  3 cubes long and 2 cubes high.  Perfect size.  Plus I had a coupon.  Score!  Joe put it together after dinner and then Mac and I hauled everything back in there.  His room now looks larger and is actually clean!

(Please excuse the poor quality of the pictures.  I took them with my phone and a couple of the lights are out)

Carving Pumpkins

This past weekend we "decorated" and carved some pumpkins.  Mac and Nora had teeny tiny pumpkins that Mac decorated.  I painted my pumpkin.  Joe carved his pumpkin with the help from Mac.  We all had a great time!

Nora @ 4 Months

Big girl is 4 months old!  She had her doctor's appointment last Wednesday.  She weighs in at 15 pounds 8 ounces.  She is 24 inches long.  She also got another round of shots which she took like the champ she is!

What we know about a 4 month old Nora:

-She has discovered her voice even more and makes more sounds.
-She giggles a lot
-She is SUPER ticklish
-She is spinning around when she sleeps and hits her head on the crib causing her to wake up mad in the middle of the night.
-She stares at our food when we eat at the table and she is sitting in her bumpo.
-She likes the lights on her bouncer
-She will rotate her entire body around to try to see Mac
-She can spot us from the other side of the room
-Her favorite toy at the moment is this lion thing that hangs on her floor gym.
-She sucks her thumb
-She eats her hands or any of our body parts she can fit in her mouth
-She still fits in 3 month clothes
-She likes to be sitting up so she can see
-When she decides she is hungry, she needs to be fed IMMEDIATELY.
-She still eats 4 ounces at a time but we are probably going to be bumping her to 6 ounces soon
-She likes to grab on to things
-She is not sure she likes the carseat cover that keeps her warm
-Socks do not stay on her feet for very long
-She sounds like a pterodactyl
-She real bad wants to roll over on a regular basis
-She likes to try to roll from her back to her belly (She hasn't figured out to move her arm)
-She has a bald spot strip on the back of her head.  It looks silly
-She thinks it is real funny when you change her poop diaper
-She still finds fart noises funny
-She still likes the same pacifiers
-She likes looking at herself in my phone
-She is sitting in my lap as I type this
