FAMILY & ALASKA: Today!

I wrote this post yesterday and then forgot to post it......

Our friend Amy watched Mac today because Erica had to go out of town.  Amy loves Mac.  It makes me super happy that so many people love our Godzilla.  She sent me a picture and a video while she was watching him.

This morning at work, my school received an email from our principal warning us to be bear aware because the below picture was taken across the street from the school.  YAY bear print!

When I went out to my car this afternoon, I discovered snow on the nearby mountains.  That snow is called termination dust.  It is a sure sign that summer has been terminated and that winter is not too far away....

FAMILY: Whoops squared

Whoopsie.  Going back to work makes keeping up with the blog super difficult!  Joe is going to have to step up!
Sunday was super incredibly, wonderfully nice so I got a lot of school work done (yes in my pajamas) out on the porch while Mac took a nap!

We went on a family walk!

Snuggles with my little man!

Mac wanted to help Joe put his shoes on......

HOUSE: Half Bath

We finally hung up the "art" that I bought us for our anniversary.  I am sure that by now everyone knows how much I love antique-y type stuff.  LOVE it.  I bought an antique window that had vintage matchbooks in it.  Joe put hang thingies on the back of it and we hung it up on the wall above the toilet in our downstairs bathroom.  I think the wall might need a little something around it but I am sure that I will figure it out......

FAMILY: Costco

I tried to do a post earlier this week but for some reason the program wouldn't let.  I finally got too irritated to deal with it so I gave up.  Hopefully, I will be able to do a post today.

Yesterday, we headed to Costco.  I love that place.  We wandered up and down the various aisles.  I feel like I always miss something amazing.  I really wanted them to have cinnamon sticks (one because I made applesauce today and two I like boiling them to make my house smell good).  Joe got crazy excited with the biggest thing of Nutella ever (and no we did not buy it).  Mac enjoyed pushing the buggy.

We picked up some Costco pizza and Mac tore it up.....

Today, Caryn and Cayla came over to play.  I made meatballs and applesauce.  Around 3, we headed to our friend's Rocky and Liz's new house.  We met a lot of nice people!  Mac fell in LOVE with one of the girls there.  Capital letters LOVE. She posted a picture of herself with Mac on Instagram....it makes me smile!  I have never seen him like someone so quickly.....LOVE.

Trick or treat in the heat!

It was more like trick or treat in the torrential down pour.... Anyways, the early Halloween is a really cool event, as it was created by a kid who had terminal cancer about 8 years ago when he found out he wasn't going to make it to Halloween. It has grown so big that there are four neighborhoods that do it now, with thousands of people participating. It cost $10 per kid and all the proceeds go to charity. Really cool.

We went to one of Caryn and Nick's friend's house to have chili. I made skyline chili and Caryn made sweet and sour chicken. None of the other chili's really compared. Jami stayed home because she has a wicked cold. I have been lucky enough not to catch it from her.... Knock on wood.

Anyways, here's some pictures from the trick or treating. I didn't take many because it started to rain so hard that I didn't want to take my phone out and it get soaked.

Mac was a dinosaur. RAWR!
"I was phone daddy!"

Mac and Cayla holding hands while dancing.

That's my tail!

Coolest costume of the day!

Sugar rush!!!

So Erica told me that she couldn't get Mac to nap today... About five minutes after we her house.

And cuddling with mommy after we got home.

Mac eventually fell asleep on Mommy.

Heyward doesn't feel very well either...
And finally, here are a couple of videos:

FAMILY: Sick. Yuck.

The beginning of the year cooties have struck.....me.  Wednesday night I started not really feeling good....Thursday I started coughing and my voice got scratchy.  A fever decided to join the party.  Friday I had all of the above and then I lost my voice.  Great.  I came home after a meeting after school (yeah it sucked) and curled up in a teeny tiny ball on the sofa.  My little man knew I wasn't feeling well so he came to snuggle me.....

I woke up a little early Saturday morning (wasn't sleeping well) so I had the remote all to myself....for a little while at least.  I pretty much spent the entire day Saturday curled up on the sofa.  I felt like I was in a bubble all day.  Not a fun feeling.

Apparently, I was looking pretty comfortable as Heyward decided to use me as his personal pillow.  He thinks he is way smaller than what he really is....

Mac's little tummy has not been feeling good and he has been doing numero dos a lot.  We (and by we I really mean Joe because at this point I had already taken Nyquil) put Mac in the bathtub.  He had a great time with his foam letters but then he pooped in the bathtub..........

FAMILY: It. Won't. Stop.

It seriously won't stop raining.  It's not doing the normal Alaska drizzle thing either....it is straight up raining.

Mac and Joe just walked in....Mac growled at me.  He is a little cranky because he is at the beginning of a cold.  Stupid rain.  Yesterday when he came home, he had snuggle time on the sofa with Bella.

He also got some snuggle time in with Joe....

On a crazy Alaska note, check out this picture of a bear in a tree like 2 miles from our house!
