Mac's time with Caryn and Cayla

As our nanny Erica was out of town the first couple of days that I had to go back to work, our friend Caryn took care of Mac.  We owe her tremendously!  Mac is so sweet on Cayla.  When she gets upset, Mac gives her real hugs and rubs her back/head.  It is SOOO cute!


 
On Friday, Caryn and her husband Nick took the babies (Mac and Cayla) to the park!

Ohhhhhh

Today was my first day back at work.  Oh my am I tired!  I sat through a TON of meetings and I still have a TON more to go!  I have so much I need to do to get ready.....

Here is my list:
Clean room
Decorate walls
Make copies
Make lesson plans for first week
Make 16 mini science lesson plans
Get caseload together
Get caseload paperwork together
Contact regular education teachers
Figure out what subject books I need
Get IEP calendar together

AND SO IT GOES ON.....I actually have a pretty good feeling about school this year.  I am a little frazzled because I have never started the year off this not prepared but.....I still have a good feeling!  Hopefully that stays!  Maybe I will take a picture of my classroom.....MAYBE.  It is not a cute, happy teacher-y place.  I teach high school kids in an old science lab.  There is no way to make that attractive.

Our friend Caryn took care of Mac today because Erica is on vacation.  She texted me this picture today.....

That's all I got.  Wish me luck tomorrow...I am in a meeting from 7:30 until 11:30 (yup you read that correctly)....

Mac in grown up shoes!

Hello! Mac decided it would be fun if he put on my shoes and try to walk around. Here's some funny pictures.

We also took a sample of the saltwater fish tank water to the fish store today and they told us we are ready for a fish! We got a tiny clown fish and Jami named it Pedro... That Jami...

Pedro is about an inch long and is loving playing in his new home!

Pajama Day

Mac and I stayed in our pajamas all day.  I am in my pajamas right now.  I am perfectly ok with this!  I feel like since I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night that I deserve to just stay comfortable.  I am having a hard time getting to sleep (not staying asleep).

Mac got up this morning at like 8ish.  He ate breakfast and then watched some cartoons while we waited for Caryn and Cayla to come over.

I kept Cayla for a couple of hours today so Caryn could go to a meeting.  Cayla fed Mac rice chex....they investigated the door stopper....silly babies!  At one point they thought going through my legs was great fun and both tried to do it at the same time....









Today, I did get started on painting the letters for Mac's ABC wall.  I hope it turns out cute!  Caryn gave me another idea of what to put on the wall above his bed......not sharing yet though!
 

Sunny day

Another BEAUTIFUL day!  Mac was awesome and the sun was shining!

This morning Mac spent a good bit of time trying to stand up on his bouncing turtle toy.....

I have a confession.  I moved Mac's room again.  In my defense it was only because Mac could reach the light switch to his room.  Plus all I did was flip flop the changing table and the bed.  Pictures to maybe come later.  While we were up there, we did some play time and Mac did some "reading" time.

Mac didn't take a nap until 12:30 today (mostly because he let me sleep until 9).  He slept for 2 hours during his nap!  He got up and we headed outside....Where he proceeded to run over (literally used her as a speed bump) while she was trying to poop.  Then a couple of minutes later, he accidentally stepped on her and she yelped.  He did downward dog position and started crying (he doesn't like hurting Bella).  

After dinner, it was Mac's bathtime!  He is so stinking funny in the bathtub.  He keeps sticking his face under the water....silly boy.  Then he discovered the shower curtain liner.  He thought it was hilarious to "hide" behind it and make noises at Joe.  That baby.....

Tonight I did my first Hot Zumba class in a long long long time (since like March).  It was AWESOME!  I find it very weird that I don't sweat....I just turn bright red.  Like a tomato.
