Since Sunday

Joe left Sunday morning for the week....thus the delay/lack of posting.  It has been a little chaotic and frustrating and exhausting and funny being with the kids fully by myself.

Mac was having a grand time making a giant mess in his room.

Monday morning bed snuggles with the chunk.

My big girl is currently rocking her little sister tshirt.  How do you like that quilt?  I got it from Alaska Picker.  It is called a doll quilt and I adore it!

Again....his mess.

Monday morning bed snuggles with me fake sleeping...I am wierd

Little sister shirt!

They love each other tremendously.  Mac was telling her a story.

Love!

He seriously dragged over the stool and opened it and climbed it so he could see her.

Happy chunk face

She was passed out asleep when I put her in the crib.  Then I get downstairs and this is what I saw in the monitor...

Sofa snuggles with my kids

I have no idea what he is doing.  He has a crazy imagination.

Mac got up before Nora did one morning and we had some good snuggles.

Her daddy made her hair a mohawk on Saturday night after her bath....

Today, the kids went to Erica's for the first time this school year.  I had a big task ahead of me.  Cleaning out my crazy chock full classroom.  I literally found all sorts of stuff.  Including this ridiculous poster from like 1989.  It made me giggle.

Garage Storage Shelves

We are in the process of redoing the garage storage.  Joe built some shelves.  He was unable to do this blog post so if you want the details on how to do this you will need to email him!  I know that he cut some wood.  He screwed some wood together.  That might be the end of my shelf building knowledge.  Oh....and Mac helped him.

And here is the finished product....

Our firewood is currently stacked on the side of the house but it will be relocating to the shed in our back yard.  It's a LOT of firewood.  We are in the process of reorganizing so we are utilizing our spaces better.  I probably need to go buy some more plastic containers.....

A whole lot of Nora

Nora is so much easier to get pictures of right now.  Mac moves so much and so fast that I can never get pictures of him or with him.

Big girl had a bath today.  She is just so chunky with her 1.23 million rolls.

Joe had city softball tournament today so he was gone for the majority of the day.  It was a long day with the kids.  Probably not going to get any better because Joe leaves tomorrow morning for the week.

I forgot to do a blog post yesterday....and maybe the day before.  Whoops.

She has learned to escape from her swaddle.  She got to kicking so hard that the video monitor was moving (right now we have it braced in her crib but when she gets more mobile we will move it)

She is getting to be a tummy time beast

She thinks it is super funny to get the "fish" face

See?  Tummy time champ.

She discovered her first "cookbook"....Mac is also on the bed with her but he would not cooperate with the picture taking process......

Giggles & Tummy Time

Nora was in a fantastic mood today.  Mac was in a fantastic mood today.  What does that mean?  That this mama was in a fantastic mood today.

We did some tummy time.....(yes, even Mac got involved in tummy time)

Nora even rocked her adorable new Vera Bradley shoes (courtesy of Good Mama).  They were oh so cute on her!!!!

After tummy time, it was definitely giggle time.  Things that make Nora giggle: giving her fish face, fart noises, playing with her mouth, and her brother.

She even giggles at her brother playing with her mouth.....so sweet!

All of this excitement made my little girl not do her normal day time sleeping.  I eventually got her to sleep.  For like an hour.

Apparently, when I went to Zumba, she was not happy for almost the entire time.  She was just overtired.  Speaking of Zumba.  I did a Zumba class for three days in a row.  My body HURTS.

Good thing about Zumba today?  I came home to an AMAZING dinner.  Amazing.  Right now....I am currently thinking about eating the Oreos downstairs but I am pretty sure that it would completely counteract the Zumba class I just did.  Yup.  Going to be getting the Oreos.

I am going to leave you with the video monitor picture of my chunk sleeping.  My first chunk is fingers crossed passed out.  He was super good today so I hope we have a repeat tomorrow!!!!

Playing Catch Up

I have discovered that I am slacking.  My house is a DISASTER.  Pretty sure that I am a hot mess.  Also pretty sure that I am gaining weight rather than losing it.  My Fitbit numbers are terrible.  Not working out as much as I should.  Hot mess right here.  Oh....and I am also way behind in blog posts.  I fully expect this hot mess to continue as Joe leaves on Sunday for a week and I go back to work next week.  Yay (hear the sarcasm).  HOT MESS.

However, it might be time for me to go back to work as Mac and I are super quickly losing patience with each other.  It is definitely time for him to get back to playing with his friends all day.  Sometimes I question if I am a bad mom because I am not gushing over my kids or crying when I have to leave or making cute posts about how amazing mommyhood is.  Sometimes I want Mac to just stop talking.  Sometimes I just want my body not to be a permanent bed or playground.  Sometimes I really want to be selfish.  I give up shutting the door when I am going to the bathroom.  I give up shutting the door when I am getting dressed or changing clothes.  I give up being able to have a full complete thought in my head.  So yeah....it might be time for me to go back to work.

However (again), my kids are crazy cute...even though they drive me nuts!  Nora is getting so incredibly big.  She has a big personality and we are going to be in trouble with her!  Mac absolutely adores his stister and likes to kiss her nonstop.

Shopping trip to Lowes to get the "ingredients" for the next project

While Joe is loading the wood, I go check on the kids to find Mac kissing Nora.

And this is how a Mac sleeps after refusing to take a nap during the day...

Shopping for the "ingredients" for our next project

Chunk.

Chunk.

My chunk today with her crazy hair that her daddy gave her last night after her bath.....
