BABY UPDATE

Today, I had a doctor's appointment for an ultrasound.  I met Joe and Mac at home and then we rode to the hospital together.

Mac had a great time moving magazines around while we waited for our appointment.

When we got in to meet with Scott (our ultrasound guy who did all of Mac's scans), he told us that we were a little too early for the test that they had me scheduled for.  However, he said since I was there that he was still going to look because maybe the baby would measure different sized.  In order to have the test done, the baby has to measure 45 mm but the baby at this point is 43 mm.  We rescheduled the test for next Friday before my other appointment with Dr. Hinkle.

What did we find out?  That this baby is crazy active!  Scott was amazed at how much the baby was moving.  Nugget was flipping around and flinging his arms and legs around.  Scott did agree that my due date is May 28th based on the size of the baby.  So far everything looks good with the baby.  Nugget's heartbeat was good.  Crazy active though.  Oh goodness!

Mac really liked seeing everything.  He particularly liked the heartbeat.  He had Scott do it a couple of times.  So sweet!

Without further ado........here is Nugget!  Sorry the pictures are so bad....I was too lazy to scan them in and just took pictures of them with my phone.

FAMILY: Quality time around the house

This weekend was great.  We got stuff done around the house.  I was able to catch up on sleeping so I could get to feeling better.

Weird thing at work though.  I had a sub on Thursday because I was sick.  When I got back to work on Friday, I had found that all of my nice pens were gone as were my mechanical pencils.  I am a pen snob.  I was IRATE that my pens were gone.  I couldn't turn the sub in because I had like 3 different subs covering my classes during the day.  We went to Costco over the weekend and I bought a fresh supply.  They are hidden in my classroom.

On Friday when Joe and Mac got home, Mac came running in with a sweet bouquet of tulips in his arms.  The cutest thing EVER.  "mommy I got you flowers!"

On Saturday, we met Lee and Sarah at Buffalo's Wild Wings for wings and the guys had beer.....us pregnant ladies drank lots of water.  I am 10 weeks along at this point.....I have a teeny tiny baby bump!

At one point on Sunday, Joe was working on building the entertainment center and Mac got pretty mad at me.  The reason he got mad?  I took the sheets off of his bed.  While he was getting upset, this is where he put himself....

Yesterday, I sent Joe to go get Bella a new crate (she is being a butthead lately during the day).  Mac thoroughly enjoyed playing with it......who knew that a dog crate could provide such entertainment!

As I am typing this....I am listening to Mac in the bathtub singing to Joe.  He is so cute.....

FAMILY: Trick or Treat

Mac had a great time Trick or Treating on Halloween.  Our friends the Homerdings came over and our neighbor across the street and his little girl also went with us.  Cayla and Mac had to hold hands everywhere they went which is super cute!

ALASKA: Road trip

Yes, I am behind in blogging.  Thus the reason I did like 5 posts at one time.  I am what is known as lazy....but hey......I am growing a human being so I think I have the right to be a little lazy.  Last Saturday, we did a road trip with Mary.  We drove out to Wasilla to go to my favorite antique store.  We found some cool treasures there!  Mac got a robot (stuffed) and proceeded to talk like a robot for the rest of the week.

On the way out to Wasilla we stopped for a picnic.  It was a little cold but we still ate next to the lake.  We were eating next to Mirror Lake which has begun freezing over.  So pretty!  Mac even shared his juice box with Joe.

We stopped at the Little Susitna before driving up to the Pass......The water was the lowest that I have seen it.

Then we made the drive up the mountain.  Our plan was to go to the Independence Mine which is a gold mine that we have taken my dad to.  Completely didn't think about the fact that it is at the top of the mountain and probably closes down at some point.  When we got to the top of the mountain.  There was snow and people everywhere.  People with boards, cross country skis, and sleds.  I don't know what those crazy people were thinking because there really wasn't enough snow to do any of that stuff....

Look at the pretty drive on the way down!

Oh and we saw two random moose on the side of the road too!
