Saturday Fun

I got up at 5:30 this morning.  I was awake before both kids and my husband.  I am pretty sure it has something to do with me staying in the bed for two days with a massive migraine.  I was put on another prescription that I have to take for 21 days.  Yay for Lupron giving me migraines.  (hear the outpouring of sarcasm)

This morning after Joe got up he had to run back to the office to fix something.  It was me and the Chunk and the Godzilla.  Check out those Nora rolls.

Once Joe got back, he fixed us some tasty pancakes.  Mac ate more than I did.  We decided to give Nora a pancake to see what she would do with it.  She tried to chew it to death.  She really didn't know what to do with it or how to eat it.  It turned into a mush pancake.

We later ran to the grocery store to get the needed supplies for Christmas treats for the neighbors.  After Mac and Nora went down for a nap, they woke up for some sibling snuggles.  So stinking cute.  They love each other a whole lot!

Christmas Card Display

Last year, I displayed our Christmas cards by taping them to our kitchen cabinets.  I didn't want to do that this year.  I scoured Pinterest.  We tend to get a good amount of Christmas cards so I needed something that would show all of them.  I saw on Pinterest that someone made a Christmas tree and displayed cards on them.  I thought it was genius.  Joe and I picked up some washi tape in green and gold.  Joe helped me ("let me do it, I'm an engineer").  Slapped the green up for the "tree" and created a "star" for the top.  We are still taping them to the door but it just looks better!

Family Pictures

My good friend Lisa did our family pictures a couple of weekends ago and they were finished last night!  We own the digitals to them and I am oh so happy with them!  We did them outside in like 10 degree weather on a frozen lake North of Anchorage.  I love that we live in such a beautiful landscaped area and can do so many pictures outside!  Let me know if you want any of them!

Cash Family Goes to the Doctor

Today, we had Nora's 6 month check up.  She is looking great!  She weighs in at 17 3/4ths pounds (which is the 75th percentile) and she is 26 inches long (50th percentile).  Our doctor is pretty pleased with Nora's progress.  Poor Nora had to get 3 shots!  One of which was the flu shot.  She cried for literally like 15 seconds.  Check out Nora's quilt!  Our doctor makes her patients quilts that they get to lay on for their appointments.  When Nora turns 1, she gets to keep her quilt!

While we were there Mac also wanted to be measured.  Surprise, surprise.  (hear that sarcasm)  Mac is 3 and a half feet tall!

Girls Weekend

Since Joe was in Georgia with Mac, I had the weekend with my girl.  She has discovered her voice and used it LOUDLY.  I am guessing it wore her out though because she pretty much went to bed each night around 6.

Nora and I had a shopping trip where we bought our family Christmas pajamas.

I got feeling a little crafty so this is the Santa cookie plate that I made....this was before I baked it.  These colors changed a little afterwards.

Heyward seriously loves her

She loves to play with a big wooden spoon.  That thing ended up covered in sweet potatoes....

AHHHHH....she finally crashed at one point on Sunday.  Mommy needed that quiet break.

See?  She loves the wooden spoon.
