We got 21 inches of snow this weekend. 21. Snow is supposed to resume on Thursday. Everything looks so much better with a lot of snow covering it.
Snow makes me happy.

FAMILY: Busy busy busy
After the business of this morning, Mac went down pretty hard for a nap. We definitely used this time to snowplow the driveway. While Joe was using the snowblower, I was shoveling the front porch. There was like a foot of snow at the time and that was HOURS ago (and it is snowing harder now!)
Joe ran out to take a GIANT load of stuff to the dump and the recycling center. He took a picture and the snow was coming down even harder! He had to stop by the grocery store on the way home to pick up bacon for the meatloaf that I was making for dinner and stuff for me to make cinnamon roll casserole in the morning. He said the grocery store was absolutely insane and crazy busy.
While Joe was also gone, Mac decided that he wanted to go potty on the toilet. He peed! Success!!!! He likes to read a lot of books while on the toilet....
And Heyward decides to sleep not on but NEXT to his bed.....
While we were outside cleaning out the garage and shoveling snow, I saw our new neighbor out in their driveway so I decided to go over and help. They are an older couple named Susan and Ron. They moved up here to be grandparents! Their daughter and son in law live up here. They were incredibly nice. They actually sent over frosted sugar cookies this evening and oh my goodness those cookies are delicious. As in they will not make it for very long.....

HOUSE: Mid process
Joe ripped out the built ins in the terrible, no good, very bad red room.
In mid-process....
All of the shelves gone...
The room looks so much bigger with those shelves out. However, now there is stuff all over our house. We need to Kilz the walls (a lot) and then paint them a light grey before we can put in shelving in the "pantry" area......
When Joe was pulling out the built-ins, here is where he was throwing them...
When Mac went down for a nap, we headed into the garage to reorganize it so tomorrow Lee and Joe can move the freezer into the garage.

SNOW.
Last night to this morning we got roughly 6 inches of snow. It's still snowing! We are supposed to be getting 3-5 inches tonight......
Mac has discovered that he likes climbing up Joe's back. This has kept him exceptionally entertained.
He also likes spinning on Joe's back.....
Mac has discovered his love for Christmas stockings. As I type this I am looking around for the stockings and I don't see them. Goodness knows what Mac did with them!
Ok. Break time is over. Time to go help Joe continue to rip out that red room. Update on that to come later.

We went out last night to pick up Moose's Tooth pizza for dinner. Heyward did not at all want to go back into his kennel.....At all.

BABY UPDATE & ALASKA
A friend of mine posted a picture of a moose in her neighborhood snuggling with a plastic flamingo....it made me giggle so I decided to share.
And now the baby meatball update....
Heartbeat was at 162. I have gained 8 pounds total. Meatball sounds good. My belly looks good. AND we set up the big ultrasound! We go in at 4 on December 23! I am pretty excited! Otherwise my next appointment is January 13.

Whoopsie.
I am behind. This really is becoming the norm. Sorry. I am just so incredibly tired at the end of the day that I often just forget to do a blog post.
Mac has been really good at daycare but then sometimes he comes home and he is in a bratty mood for a little bit. Lately, Joe has been getting home before me and so when I get home and Mac is being Godzilla it just drains me even more.
Be prepared for this post to jump all around.......
As I was playing around on my ipad the other day, I noticed that Mac had gotten my ipad at some point on the flight home and taken some selfies.....in a weird setting.
We have started pulling stuff out of our weird downstairs room. I took pictures. Ignore the giant mess. We are in mid-process. The bookshelves are out. We are working on clearing off the built-ins. The next couple of steps include fully cleaning out the built-ins and then taking the built-ins out. I cannot wait for that action!
Heyward has gotten super cuddly. When I am on the sofa, he is usually on my feet or laying next to me. The other day he spooned me. It makes me smile.

HOUSE/FAMILY: Giant To-Do List
In order to keep myself sane (ha) and organized (this part shouldn't be a surprise to you), I need to make a list. This is my list of things that need to be done or gotten before the Meatball makes an appearance. I am slightly (and by slightly I mean a lot) feeling a little stressed on how we are going to do everything......
Here it goes.
1. Turn guest room into nursery
-clean out closet
-Joe build a dresser to go on the landing to store items in closet
-buy crib
-buy crib mattress
-buy changing pad
-curtains
-find a way to make our recliner work in the nursery (color scheme wise)
-create wall art
-buy baby bedding (we have picked out some Pottery Barn Kids Harper bedding)
2. Turn laundry room even more multi-purpose (guest room, laundry, and pantry)
-put freezer in the garage
-rip out the built ins
-rip out weird crown molding
-rip out the multi shelves above washer/dryer that are too deep to do anything with
-clean out the entire room (trash stuff, donate stuff, reorganize stuff)
-figure out color scheme and decor for it
-prime (painting over that red is going to take a while)
-paint
-figure out if we can install a murphy bed in the wall
-figure out if we can put built in bookshelves around the murphy bed
-build shelves in the pantry area
-put up a rod and curtains to hid the pantry area
-Joe build a small desk?
-eventually find a rug
-move our dirty clothes sorting into baskets/bins above the washer/dryer
3. build a recycling console
4. get rug for living room
5. buy baby stuff that we got rid of when we weren't going to be able to have anymore babies
-tummy time play yard
-swing
-Diaper Genie Elite
6. play around with the idea of putting our office and bookshelf area in our bedroom
-if we move the recliner in the nursery then it leaves a big corner of our bedroom open
7. reorganize garage to fit the freezer
Yup. Giant list. This is going to be fun......
