FAMILY: Sick. Yuck.

The beginning of the year cooties have struck.....me.  Wednesday night I started not really feeling good....Thursday I started coughing and my voice got scratchy.  A fever decided to join the party.  Friday I had all of the above and then I lost my voice.  Great.  I came home after a meeting after school (yeah it sucked) and curled up in a teeny tiny ball on the sofa.  My little man knew I wasn't feeling well so he came to snuggle me.....

I woke up a little early Saturday morning (wasn't sleeping well) so I had the remote all to myself....for a little while at least.  I pretty much spent the entire day Saturday curled up on the sofa.  I felt like I was in a bubble all day.  Not a fun feeling.

Apparently, I was looking pretty comfortable as Heyward decided to use me as his personal pillow.  He thinks he is way smaller than what he really is....

Mac's little tummy has not been feeling good and he has been doing numero dos a lot.  We (and by we I really mean Joe because at this point I had already taken Nyquil) put Mac in the bathtub.  He had a great time with his foam letters but then he pooped in the bathtub..........

FAMILY: It. Won't. Stop.

It seriously won't stop raining.  It's not doing the normal Alaska drizzle thing either....it is straight up raining.

Mac and Joe just walked in....Mac growled at me.  He is a little cranky because he is at the beginning of a cold.  Stupid rain.  Yesterday when he came home, he had snuggle time on the sofa with Bella.

He also got some snuggle time in with Joe....

TRAVEL: Portage Glacier Cruise

It has been raining for weeks.  We got cabin fever big time today.  I would much prefer the snow than the rain.  At least you can get out and do some good playing in the snow.  We decided to head down to Portage and then Joe had the great idea of doing the Portage Glacier Cruise (we hadn't done it yet).

The drive down to Portage was insanely windy and rainy.  We bought our tickets (used a Northern Lights Coupon) and then headed to the Portage Visitor Center.  We have been there numerous times but it is always fun doing things with Mac and seeing what he gets excited about.

We were a little early for boarding so we waited in the car and Mac had a snack....and then he "drove."

We were able to board (thank goodness we were able to get out of the rain).  The cruise was awesome. It lasted about an hour and we got right up next to the glacier.

HOUSE: Clean

I have found a new (not new as in for real but new as in to me) cleaning supply that I love and I felt the need to share.  I have discovered Mrs. Meyer's.  I got the spray from Target.  I debated getting the giant gallon thing that you could clean floors, cabinets, counters, etc. with but I wanted to make sure that I like it first.  The "flavors" are awesome.  Joe and I narrowed it down to basil and honeysuckle but we ended up going with honeysuckle.

It smells so good that I keep cleaning my counters just to have my house smell great.  I cannot wait to go get the giant thing of it.  My whole house is going to smell like that stuff!  I LOVE IT!

FAMILY: Beer butt

Ha.  I just wanted to say beer butt.  BUT we did have beer butt chicken for dinner last night.  Joe found a recipe online.  He was so proud of himself....

This was my view yesterday when I watched my Dawgs lose.  It's ok.  I am still a die-hard Dawg fan!

This was when I got kicked out of the boys clubhouse....I have a feeling this is going to be a common theme for the rest of my life....

I did get some morning snuggles this morning from my little man.  He has a slight cold right now so he rotates between being cranky and wanting to snuggle.  I can't complain much though because Joe and I tried to think of the last time Mac was sick and we couldn't remember.....

HOUSE: 2410

Our house numbers have been off the house for the last 2ish months so we could paint.  Even when we got the house painted (minus the trim), we were too lazy to put the numbers back up.  Until today.  Since it has been raining non-stop, we have not been able to do anything to the outside of the house.  I decided that we could up our house numbers up even if it was raining.
