The red room is no longer red!!!!!!!!!!! Joe got the first coat of primer on and already it looks five million times better!!!!!!
He taped off and cut in around the corners and doors. Everything had a layer of plastic over it to protect.
Once the cutting in was done, he started in with the roller....
And then.....the first coat of primer was on!!!!!!!!!!!!! The ceiling got a layer but it will be painted white (like normal ceilings)....
It is amazing that a layer of paint can make a room look so much incredibly bigger. The room is brighter and bigger and that is just with one coat of paint on!!!!!!!

Snuggles and Sledding Party!
Mac and I got some snuggles in this morning watching cartoons while Joe painted....
Later, Mac decided that he wanted to sit in our bed while I straightened the bathroom....
We had to wake Mac up from his nap to go to his friend Oliver's sledding vintage car themed birthday at Kincaid Park. They rented the chalet at the top of the sledding hill for Oliver's party and they are geniuses! I am thinking of doing the same thing for Mac's birthday because that would be SOOOO much easier! Mac wasn't in the greatest of moods since we had to wake him up from his nap but he still had a good time. He went sledding with Joe and his friends....he painted the snow.....he ran around like a crazy baby......he tore up a strawberry shake.......

Heyward. Nursery.
Yes I got crazy creative with this blog post title.
Yesterday morning, I got 3 big boxes in the mail. I was pretty excited about these boxes because they were antiques that Mary got for the nursery. There was a light pink stand that we are going to put next to the recliner in the nursery for those late night feedings when we need somewhere to put our drink.
There was also a square mirror, a milk glass lamp, and an oval light pink frame. I cannot wait to get that room cleared out so we can start putting all of this cuteness up in there!
Mary also shipped up a painting that Joe's grandma did for us that we are also going to put in the nursery.
Last night we were watching the Oklahoma Bama game (oh how the SEC has fallen, fingers crossed for Auburn). Heyward has decided he was tired......and this is how he decided to lay. He is a silly dog.
Since he is such a big boy (apparently we don't do things small in this family), I was curious about what breed he actually is. He is 85 pounds which is at the top end for a yellow lab and a golden. After much googling, I have deduced that he is just a gigundo golden lab mix. He is about 10 months old so he still has some growing left to do. The vet always said that she thought he would be between 90 and 100 pounds when he was full grown. He is the size of a human!

busy busy busy
I feel like we got stuff done today but at the same time we didn't. Joe got the red room completely ready to start priming. Painting is going to take a LONG time. Long time.
Mac and I got some New Years snuggles in this morning.
While we were snuggling at some point today, Mac decided to start lining up his hotwheels. Once he finished lining them up he shoved them in the sofa. No joke.
The other day we put up all of our Christmas stuff and I revamped the fireplace mantle.
Joe and I had chili for dinner so Mac had meatballs and pasta. Mac cracks me up when he eats. I just sit there and watch him with a giant smile on my face. He got it all over his face. So cute!
He got that "pisketti" all over his face so into the bath he goes. I think Joe was pretty excited to try out Mac's new bathtub toy (a hotwheels track that sticks to the wall and shoots the car out into the water). Mac is so stinking cute! Oh my goodness.
After Mac went to bed, we weighed Heyward. (and by "we" I mean Joe). Heyward weighs in at a big whopping 85 pounds. Serious.

Conversations with Mac
Me: Mac, where is our baby?
(Mac points to my belly)
Me: Mac, what is the baby's name?
Mac: That's baby Nurrah (which is how he currently pronounces Nora)
(Conversation in the bathtub)
Joe: You want to get out and go put your jammies on and watch Yo Gabba Gabba?
(Mac stands up)
Mac: My butt wet, daddy. I don't want my butt wet. Wipe my butt, daddy.
(Conversation during dinner)
Joe: Mac, what do you want for dinner?
Mac: Meatballs!
(meatballs fixed and on the table)
Mac: I don't want meatballs. I want pisketti. (spaghetti)
(I add noodles)
Mac: I got you pisketti! I got you!!
(Getting him up from his nap, we hear him up there singing)
(Joe knocked on the door)
Mac: Come in.
Joe: Who is it?
Mac: Mac!!

BELLY: Belly comparisons
I got to thinking about my pregnancy with Mac and my belly. It is always interesting to compare bellies. So I am doing it.
My pregnant belly at 5 months with Mac.....
My belly at 5 months with Nora....
