26 Glacier Cruise

Dad and I went on a 26 glacier cruise yesterday (Mac went to hang out with Erica!)!  When we left Anchorage, it was POURING.  When we got to Whittier, it was POURING.  We checked in with the cruise and then decided it was raining too much to go walking around so we found the bar.  We had an awesome view of the harbor (and the rain).

We walked in the pouring rain to go back to the cruise for the 11:45 boarding.  Unfortunately (at first), we had an aisle/center table but we decided this was a good thing because no one was standing over us later!  It was super foggy outside because of the cloud cover!

We were supposed to go up into College Fjord but the cloud cover was so thick that the captain decided to take us back to the Harriman glacier instead!  On the way we saw a LOT of animals: otters, stellar sea lions, and porpoises!

Here is a glimpse of the DISGUSTING weather:

The first glacier we got to was Harriman glacier!  It was pretty cool!  Dad and I went on the back deck because there was NO ONE back there!

The next glacier we headed to was Surprise Glacier.  The last time I was at Surprise Glacier the glacier calved a whole lot (where part of the glacier falls off) but this time I guess it was too cold for anything to happen!  It was still really pretty!

Next we headed to a spot where you can see 3 glaciers!  I forget the names though....Cascade and something and something.  It was GORGEOUS!  We took some silly pictures there with holiday signs!  Look out for Christmas cards!

Yes I am standing in the pouring rain.

Dad and I got a little silly on the cruise and decided to do a "series" of "Joe Brew" pictures.  They never fail to make me giggle!

Rain Rain...go away

The weather was sucky today so we were confined to the indoors!  Mac was in a MUCH better mood today.  Dad and I think he is cutting some more teeth and that they are probably in the back of his mouth because that is where he is trying to chew on his fingers.  Silly boy.  I think Dad is having a great time watching Mac get into everything and seeing just how much that little man moves (which is a LOT and I have definitely lost my baby weight because of it!)....

Every time Mac ate a meal (for the most part), I gave him a fork.  He is not too sure about forks.

Mac had a great time playing today!  He was into everything!  I love that little man...

Yesterday, Joe created some more pantry space for canned goods by putting shelves on the back of the closet door near the kitchen.  I love space organizing things!

On Joe's way home he stopped by the grocery store for me because I made Skyline chili for dinner!  It was DELISH!

The minute Joe got home, him and dad started playing with the new garbage disposal that came in today.  We have a leak under our kitchen sink....so Dad and Joe got under the sink to play plumber (and yes mama I did fuss at dad for getting on the ground)....

During the numerous amount of spare time that I had today (do you hear the sarcasm???), I saw this video of these fisher men trying to help a bear cub get out of the whirlpool.  They eventually knock the cub out of the whirlpool but it is not shown on this video....

Dad and I are excited because we are going on the 26 glacier cruise tomorrow!!!!!  YAY!
